We stopped here in the middle of a road trip because it had outdoor seating and we had our dog with us. The staff immediately brought a bowl of water out for her and treated her kindly. The food was outstanding. I had a bean soup that was delicious and an outstanding salad with gorgonzola and figs. The figs had been soaked in balsamic vinegar, so were juicy and flavorful. An odd place. Food was quirky, although one us enjoyed the Thanksgiving sandwich. The grilled cheese had saugy bacon, some type of seeds and a lot of hot sauce on it. Wait staff was inexperienced and unorganized.
The Black Cat Cafe shares the vintage charm of Beekman 1802 and the rest of Sharon Springs. With a relaxing atmosphere featuring vintage tables and chairs, plentiful bistro window seating, and excellent service. As well as offers a surprisingly large and creative breakfast and lunch menu.
