“We stopped by on a whim on the way to get our new puppy, and what a wonderful surprise! Brimstone Bakery has the most wonderful staff, a lovely atmosphere, and the most delicious baked goods and food. The food and baked goods are made on site by them, right down to dressings, sauces, and fillings. Everything is crafted with care, and everything is delicious. If you get the opportunity, definitely stop by.”

“The American Hotel is a breathtaking hotel on the main street of Sharon Springs NY. Vintage furnishings, gourmet breakfast and dinner selections, a friendly bartender pouring your favorite drink, and welcoming owners are part of your experience here. The landscaped back lawn and massive front porch give you a chance to breathe in the country air while washing away stress. Michael and Marco, the owners gave us tips on things to do in the area and provided a bit of history about their hotel. Lee the chef created flavorful dinners, including schnitzel with cabbage and homemade noodles, and a wide selection of beef, fish, shellfish and chicken entrees. The rooms are filled with wood antiques and elegant period furnishings. Parking is available, and an accessible ramp makes it easy to transport luggage from your car. Reasonable prices, friendly service and attention to all of your needs makes it an easy choice for a getaway. Families and groups are welcome. It’s on our list for the best getaway experience.”

“The owners are friendly and provide exceptional customer service. The food is delicious. My favorite is their drunken noodles, dumplings and spring rolls.

They really go above and beyond on their presentation. When I opened the container with my dumplings and spring roll they were sitting on a paper doily. That told me they care about the presentation on how their food is presented to their customer.

“driving through the area, I googled “coffee shops near me” and this one came up with the best reviews. We pulled into the driveway, walked in and were greeted with the best attitude and atmosphere. I ordered an iced chai with oat milk and a caprese sandwich with chicken, as a barista and cafe worker myself this is one of the best places I have ever been. I am so happy to have stopped and happy to now know about this spot as it will be a regular stopping place when in the area. I highly recommend.”

“We stopped for a hamburger and a liverwurst sandwich. The food was delicious—good white bread on the sandwich and a well-grilled patty on the hamburger—and the macaroni salad was deliciously different from the usual deli stuff. It arrived quickly, too! The price was right, and it’s in the heart of town, just a hop from I-90, but away from the noise of traffic. Definitely the place to stop, when you’re passing through. And T here’s Guinness on tap, if you’re not just passing through!”

“Food is ok always got the runs, milk was expired and argued about quality when I was there. When current management at the time was firing the dining hall staff, one of my friends defended them. Great watching people coming in every morning and the friendly banter.”

“I dont really get the purpose of lower brickyard, there's like 3 screens that are always turned off. But the cafe is good, although falls victim to your meal plan not being that useful.”
