We stopped by here for lunch. It was my spouse and I, and our son. Immediately the staff and owner made us feel welcome. We ordered quiche, thanksgiving everyday, and goat cheese Mac and cheese. Sunday is the day my sister and I take my 88 yr old Dad out for breakfast. Haven’t been happy with our experience at a Cobleskill Diner in the past, so we decided to take a scenic drive. We googled restaurants and The Black Cat came up. We found a diamond in the rough. What a quaint little cafe that reminded us of the 50’s. Food was yummy and the owner was very accommodating. Will definitely be back.

I had the pleasure of having their “Cocoa Plums”. They are actually a compressed spherical mixture of premium dried plums, figs, apricots, maple syrup, rum (lots of it :) and cocoa. Delicious !!!
