I just want t say I was there yesterday with our group knights on Bikes we had 17 bikes and 25 people and the waitress was fantastic she gave us unbelievable service with a great attitude doing it. The cook inside was working his tale off as well getting the food out very quickly for us. I can’t say enough the service and food was great. Just good diner food. Tacos and Fish and chips were tasty. French fries and salad with dressing, decent. The best part about the place is the cleanliness. The single server who was helping us on Monday, September 8 was a constant stream of activity, cleaning surfaces sweeping, just making sure everything was perfect. The islander is lucky to have her.
We came too early in the day for burger night. But we hope to come back on Monday for burger night.

I've gone here my whole life, but two disappointing experiences recently.
1. On a weekend morning it was well understaffed with mediocre service, overheard multiple people get incorrect orders, the server was unable to communicate in English with the new employee who was supposed to help her I guess? She was getting upset at him.
2. (different day) A cash only restaurant should be able to break an 100$, I was sent to Chase myself when they didn't have change.
Food is consistent but service definitely is not.
