I was just driving around that corner of the island trying to find my way back to the ferry, when I run into this brewery, the bartenders were super relaxed and helpful about what to order. I tasted the 114 IPA, it was just a great refreshing beer. Now that I know my way around I will make a stop at the brewery when I visit the island.
Stopped in here on a dreary day during our trip, and had a wonderful time. They have a very small food menu, that essentially includes a giant pretzel and personal pizza. We got two of the pretzels and they were actually giant, which isn't always the case. There is also a mexican deli next door that they recommend, and is very good. The building is SMALL. Under new ownership and the improvements are impressive! The IPAs are now fantastic, the setting is so comfortable with indoor and outdoor seating, and awesome to-go food right next door at Marias. Don’t miss this wonderful small craft brewery on your journey across Shelter Island and stop by for a pint or a local wine or cider.
