“We had Shelter Island Pumpkin Ale and it was the best most balanced we’ve had. Not too sweet and just the right amount of hops and barely. We hope they make this great ale every year and distribute it far and wide. It embodies the taste of autumn!”

“Stopped in for lunch yesterday. It was a beautiful, cool shady spot on a quaint island porch. The lunch was all home-made and fresh even down to the English muffins. The dessert case had a plethora of delicious freshly baked treats. We sampled a bunch and one was better than the next! Definitely a must visit!”

“Very accommodating to our large group, reasonably priced with large portions compared to many options on Shelter Island. Friendly and fast service. I enjoyed the hummus wrap with sweet potato fries as a vegan option from the lunch menu. It was delicious and fresh! I would love to see a vegan option on the breakfast menu as well (eg, avocado or hummus toast with a side of home fries, fruit, etc). Kids menu was also large and generously portioned.”

“This beautiful spot is THE culinary highlight of Shelter Island. From breakfast burritos to burgers, to coffee and smoothies, this place can do it all and do it well. They are beyond welcoming and open to everyone that’s walks in. Since moving away I’ve missed their hospitality and food more than ever. So go in and have a try they are definitely worth it!!”

“From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by what was quite possibly the most patient host I've ever seen. She was managing a huge crowd with a smile on her face, even while dealing with guests insisting they were owed a table when they weren't. She handled everything with professionalism and kindness.

Once we were seated, we were lucky enough to have Omar as our server, and he was easily the best server in the restaurant. He made sure our table was well taken care of, checked in at the right times, and everything came out promptly, exactly the kind of service we were hoping for. The next time I come back, I'll definitely be asking for Omar.

And the food? I can't lie.. it was absolute FIRE. I'd give the meal an 8/10 overall. Every dish at our table was solid, and I don't think there was a single bad plate.

“We visited on Saturday evening during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. From the moment we entered through the front door, we were welcomed by big smiles, big smells of delicious food, and what felt like a warm hug from a good friend. Classic and palette awakening cocktails. Try the brandade fritters and the best Caesar salad I have ever enjoyed. Sea bass was fresh out of the waters that surround the east end. The burger and the roasted chicken. For sides we ordered the onion gratin, romanesco and French fries. Surprise banana split for dessert. Delicious! See you again soon. Happy Holidays!”

The chefs lean into the region's stellar local produce right down to the sweet and grassy snap pea martini. You can't go wrong with the seasonal veggie starters, pristine crudo and oysters, house made focaccia and tender pork cheeks or a bronzed roast chicken. “Went to Maroni for the first time today....we split the chicken parm, the chicken milanese, and the penne ala vodka. All of it was amazing!! I can't even choose which I liked best, as all three were so great. Had the meatballs as well, and they were also perfect. “Finally stopped in after meaning to for over a year and we are so glad we did!! Cute inside space with light atmosphere. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer choices. We tried two flights and liked 7 of the 8 we tried. Will definitely be back to try more. They also have an outdoor seating area but it was too cold the day we went.”
