Despite the long line the day before Easter Sunday, that was around the corner outside, the wait was not long, The staff was very friendly and extremely accommodating! So much to choose from. My girl assisted me in deciding what would best suit my needs. I didn't feel rushed. I selected a simple cake, but let me tell you, it was the best cake ever! Vanilla layers of a perfectly baked cake, fluffy buttercream in between that tasted like mousse, topped with the most perfect delicious coating of chocolate! The cake was very well made! I can't wait until the next occasion we'd like to have cake. I'll be selecting from the fancy turning display! Thank you Alpine, for never disappointing!

My husband and I have had several delicious things from this bakery!! Cannolis are outstanding!!! They make an AMAZING sugar free cheesecake!! There cake pops...melt in your mouth...they are soooooo good!!! I rant and rave about this bakery to everyone!!!a++

If I can give NO stars, I would for the huge lack of compassion the front helper/cashier & "MIA" manager the day I picked up a special order Cassata cake ( I specifically stressed & repeated to the male front helper/cashier that I want the dried fruit wedges on top like an authentic Sicilian Cassata cake ADDED TO CAKE : with pink roses here & there , but please don't make it look too busy, needs to look classy , but must also say "Happy Birthday Mom" with glitter dust (which was charged an extra $8), Long story short, pure disappointment, looked like a regular cannoli cake but flatter , when I told the girl @ the cashier of the mistake, she simply said .".oh ok", I asked for the manager & no one couldn't give me a straight answer to where he/she was! I couldn't wait any longer , because I had a Birthday dinner party to attend to & people waiting for me. Never got a phone call the next day either!! So your manager(s) & the owners at Alpines really don't give a SH-- about customer's feelings & being unsatisfied!! I've been going there more than 10 years & I see the decline in certain bakery items & attitude of staff!! Sometimes you don't feel welcomed when you enter the door, the vibes all wrong , not they way it used to be, they just want your money !!

Ordered a custom cake for a surprise party at work. I asked to be delivered by 11am for the surprise at 12:15pm. When i called they asked to give an hour time slot for a delivery and it would cost me $25 for delivery for a 4 block delivery requests. I said ok but please come from 11am -12pm . Well I called at 11:45am and they did not leave or even cared. She said we’ll get there at 12:15pm. I informed them that the surprise is at 12:15pm. Well guess what they arrived 12:19 ruining the surprise. Still charged me $25 for delivery and wasn’t even apologetic that they came late. Horrible service ! I shouldn’t have had to call to confirm. I am so disappointed!

This place I had no idea!!! I was so local to me. I was using another bakery KP Bakery and the owner insulted my intelligence ...& was rude bad experience. So I found this gem ... jewel...and people I know who live near say the same . I haven't had one single issue ,complaint. A few years ago I ordered a birthday cake for my son..not realizing it was a Sunday they close earlier... I jump up and called them and they were closed! My heart sank. I pleaded and finally got the owner on and he was gracious enough to say come down I'll be here .. wow---this is a great place!

I think that Alpine is one of the best bakeries around here. It reminds me of the bakery we had in Brooklyn. Alpine's rye bread is the best. Cheese cake, I don't even want to talk about what this cake satisfies your cravings.

I would like to give it 5 stars but they were out of a few things I wanted, but I did go in late so it's understandable. The Apple Turnovers were delicious as well as the Blueberry and Raspberry Crumb Squares. Service was good and as far as decor. it's a bakery were you see Enron display. Ciao for Now.
prices are a bit steep and it seems after purchasing several items there I'm tasting an under taste of something. Almost like a licorice flavoring I guess it's in the pans they bake in Not overly Friendly but that's ok not a big deal the store does look nice

We recently ordered a three tier (woodland animals theme) Baby Shower cake at Alpine Bakery. Karin (decorator) met with us beforehand. She listened to our requests, made suggestions, and took our detailed order. We chose a 'tuxedo' cake (2 layers vanilla cake, one layer chocolate cake) with lobster cream and chocolate mousse fillings. It was not only delicious, but beautifully decorated! The cake topper pieces we provided were perfectly placed, and the artistic, colorful designs 'painted' atop the buttercream perfectly matched our invitation and woodland animals theme. We also very much appreciated that Alpine delivered the large cake to our party venue - Mezza Luna in Hauppauge. We highly recommend Alpine Bakery and cake decorator Karin for delicious, beautifully prepared, and creative desserts!

Just had the most horrible experience here. Unfortunately, the cookies and pastries are good here but unfortunately the employees ruin it. I just traveled there a half hour to get my father rainbow cookies because he's dying of cancer. He has a lot of trouble eating, and things make him nauseous so we purposely went there to get him pastries that are sweet and fattening that he can tolerate. We were greeted by a tall, nasty, blonde older lady, yelling at us that she could help us next. no greeting, just yelling that she could help us next. From the second, we walked up to the counter. Every response from her was nasty. Mind you they were not busy, there was only one other customer in the store. My receipt says the name Patti on it. I am not sure if that is actually who helped me, it was an older, tall, blonde woman.My father was looking at the different cookies and choosing what he wanted and she was rushing him and said just tell me everything so he began telling her everything we wanted. I was very frustrated at the situation my father, being that he's dying of cancer, tries to make the best of everything and was giving her the benefit of the doubt. I left the bakery, very angry and distraught. She handed the bag of stuff over with the cupcake containers, literally falling all over the place upside down, and she looked annoyed that I was putting them back, upright...I just got home and I looked in the bag she didn't put the entire box of rainbow cookies in the bag that we ordered.. So upsetting. It really is true that you never know what someone else is going through so you shouldn't be nasty to everybody that comes through the door, especially at a food establishment that should be concerned about their patrons.
