“Holy smokes…literally! Dare I say the best BBQ I’ve ever had in New York? I’ve had ridiculous BBQ all over the country. This brisket is LEGIT!!! Maybe a top 2 or top 3 brisket I ever had. Passed the tug test with flying colors! If I had to nitpick anything it would only be a slight lack of a smoke ring? But the smoky flavor was definitely there and juicy AF! The ownership is amazing and super friendly! Your life will only be better after eating here. Y’all need this BBQ like now! Do it 🤌🏻👊🏻“

“Our experience with Jocelyn on Aug 30th was so good it was worthy of a review. Very rarely do we come across an employee at a fast casual restaurant that makes our experience amazing. She was extremely busy but yet she still had a big smile, spoke beautifully, gave us her full attention and treated us with respect. She did not give us an attitude when we asked for an item to be subbed out on a burger and multitasked quickly and effectively while putting orders together. Before we left, we noticed they had a seasonal pumpkin shake that sounded interesting. We asked if we could try it to see if we liked it. We did not know it wasn't pre-made. She quickly, happily, shifted gears and made a small sample from scratch. Most people would not have bothered as that was a lot of work to do (and clean up). We were very impressed and grateful. She deserves recognition as we left there with good feelings and a desire to have that delicious shake. We called the store and expressed our impressions with the assistant manger. We hope it gets back to her and that she gets the credit she deserves (hopefully a raise).

The only reason I didn't give the food 4 stars was that the fries were not fully cooked and soggy.“

“Burgers were excellent. Service was good for latter half of visit. But initially single server overwhelmed with entire dining room and no help from bartender or manager. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were filthy. Will give it another shot in case it was just a rough night.“

I placed an online picking order and it’s says no service fee but when I checked my order receipt, I was charged a $4.99 convenience fee.“

“I did a take out order at the East Islip location. The food was good but the super melts do not seem to have much meat on them like they use to. If the prices are going up with less portions that’s going to be a problem for Friendly’s. I would hate to see them go out of business because I love Friendlys too!!“

“I live far from here about, 15 to 20 minutes and I never had their burgers until I picked up for them for my job, UBER EATS. I'm a driver, and I walked into a savoring, flavorful, grill burning aroma (burgers on the grill) and I had to order for myself , I couldn't resist, even though the route was out of the way. “Had the pleasure of choosing Tara Inn for lunch today, every establishment can learn a lesson from the customer service that my friend and I experienced. Upon walking in we were greeted by Peter, Tara’s husband and son-in-law of the founder who named the bar for his daughter 47 years ago. We told him it was our first visit and he offered us seats and welcomed us. The regulars at the bar guided us through the menu and we each had a burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles for $1 per burger expecting very small burgers we were surprised to find them standard sized and deliciously prepared to medium. My friend had the fried shrimp and I had a $13 steamed lobster! Excellent! They offer daily specials and one of the gentleman at the bar told me their steaks are very good. Every staff person went out of their way to make us feel at home. A charismatic women came out from the back and introduced herself as Tara she thanked us for choosing to lunch there. Why can’t other places realize the importance of making a first time patron feel welcome. I
Had a great afternoon enjoying the excellent variety of beers that they provide on tap. The charming decor has probably changed little since the ‘70s and that adds to the vibe. If you want to go to the friendliest bar on Long Island, head over to Tara Inn.“

“The initial bartender was very slow to acknowledge me at the bar - there were only four of us customers at the bar total, so it's not like I was lost in a sea of people. The shift change brought better service. All in all, it was everything I expected from a TGIF. I'd go back.“

“I’m writing this review not because it’s family on my Dad’s side that owns the place, but because I have been going to this Ihop since I was a young kid in the late 1980s. Andy and Ellen are phenomenal human beings and really go out of their way to ensure their customers and staff are super happy. The food quality is always top-notch. This is not fast food despite what some people claim.

I frequent here biweekly with friends for breakfast, and I’m never disappointed.

“The food was just OK. The price of the little burgers is crazy expensive. The chicken rings are normally pretty good, this time they lacked flavor. Service was so, so, couldn't hear the person taking our order, so had no repour when she did interact with us, didn't even ask if we wanted sauces. For a bag of cheese burgers 10 baby burgers, and a bag of chicken rings and a small fish nuggets was like $30. Never see anyone in the restaurant. The night we went there was only 1 car in line.“

“Checkers You Guys are simply Amazing. Placed in order for a 5 pc wings combo along with other items everything was hot and fresh. Cashier was very polite courteous as she was passing me my order she asked if I would like any sauces with my wings. I replied yes ranch please. 5 stars across the board hands down“
