One of the advantages of this restaurant is that the menu changes generally on a seasonal basis. On our visit last night there were changes to both the starter and pasta selections. The specials are always interesting and the dishes cooked on the wood-fired grill are outstanding. Osteria Umbra is always worth visiting.
We had the privilege of celebrating our wedding at Osteria Umbra one year ago and our guests are still talking about how it was the most amazing and memorable wedding. An excellent meal and a lovely evening, but with two flaws. The major flaw is dessert. None of them lived up to the promise of the meals, but one particularly rankled. A dessert billed as chocolate souffle, and served in a ramekin, turned out to be essentially a lava cake, and not a souffle at all. That is a serious failing.
