The French onion soup is phenomenal! The instant I tasted the broth I had vivid images of my mom's marinated short ribs. It is a must to try.
I had Wild Mushroom Ravioli which was very light pasta so the taste of the mushrooms came through nicely and the cream sauce that wrapped around the Ravioli was delicate and light. Dessert wow I am lost for words

My husband and I were staying in the Marriott Courtyard- just a few steps away from this Marriott. We were only there for one night.
We walked here for lunch. It’s very nicely decorated and has a very nice aesthetic.
The prices are a little pricey. I got a Caesar salad which was only $14, but then I added grilled shrimp, which was another $12. My husband got the salmon. The waiter asked how he wanted it. We assumed he meant “blackened, grilled, broiled, fried”, etc. but he only meant rare, medium rare, well done, etc.
Our food came out after about 15 minutes. The portions are pretty big. However, for me, my salad was not very tasty just because most of the romaine lettuce was just the white and yellow parts- not much of the healthy greens, AND there was very little dressing on it. What little dressing I did taste, I could tell it was a homemade dressing. The shrimp was very good, but it only came with 4 shrimp.
My husband loved the salmon. It was served on a bed of wilted, sautéed spinach and fennel with a side of pumpkin. It was very delicious. He also got a bottle of sparkling water with his meal.
Altogether our bill was $73 before tip. A little pricey. But we had a nice, tasty, healthy lunch in a nicely decorated restaurant, with pretty good service.
They also have a nice patio area for eating, but it was very windy that day, so we opted for inside.
If we ever stay in that hotel again, I would definitely go to Quimby’s again.

We chose the Fra Diavolo linguine, the waitress explained to us that it was really spicy, so we took it without the chili, and it was really very good with real grated parmesan. The big negative point, the 3 rolls with butter drizzled with oil that a waiter placed on the table for us without saying anything, it wasn't bad but the surprise was on the bill, 9 US dollars for something that we didn't ask, it's still very limited.

To be honest, I didn't have expectations for a restaurant inside a hotel, but the food was good. I got a Chicken Quesadilla and very filling, juicy, and flavorful. However, the side of fries that we got with it tasted a bit stale.
But in terms of service, it was lacking. The waitress that escorted me to my seat was giving an attitude and the server was quite slow. I would understand if it was busy, but it was just me and 2 other tables. Not only that, but there were a lot of flies flying around. The table next to me constantly had to swat flies out of their food and they would end up on their clothes and tables. Also, it was restaurant week, but they didn't even offer the restaurant week menu to me.

The Quimby blew away my expectations! The food and service was so high quality that I could not believe I was in a hotel restaurant near JFK. My coworker and I travel a lot for our jobs and we both sat down at our table expecting the standard lackluster service and meal that comes with a hotel stay near the airport. We were greeted by our server Lawrence who was friendly, made us laugh several times, and was super attentive. The Airline chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and I even ate a bunch of the bread because it was so tasty (I usually skip the bread basket but this was an exception!). My coworker has a gluten allergy, and she was happy to see that they had several gluten free food and dessert options that were delicious. If you are staying near JFK, definitely check this place out. It is an underrated gem!

Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free options and dessert

I very rarely do reviews, but I want to give a shout out to Roderick at the Marriott JFK hotel bar. Our flight was cancelled, leaving us stranded for the night. We booked a room and went down to the bar to unwind from a very stressful day. I was not expecting the level of service that we received, but Roderick was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and attentive service. He made our extra night in New York a pleasure. I can’t recommend him and the JFK Marriott enough.

Calamari had way too much breading and overcooked. Salad was good but, hard to mess up a salad. Burger was average, nothing special for $22. Overall a decent meal but, nothing to rave about being in such a nice hotel and beautiful surroundings.

I had the House Salad with Grilled Shrimp. The meal was as good as it always is. But I the $12 upcharge for the shrimp is steep considering there were three of them (If I am remembering the upcharge correctly. I called The Quimby to inquire about the price for the purpose of this review. I waited a day. My call was not returned.)! I would have gotten more bang for my buck by ordering salmon or chicken. As she has been in the past, Aliyah took good care of me, checking up on me from when she had a moment. Of all the restaurants I frequent on a regular basis, she is my favorite server.
