My local cart on Rockaway charges $10 for a mediocre platter. This place charges $8 for better food, and you get a free drink to boot. I haven't been here in years but I'm happy to see that the food is still good. My go-to cart dropped in quality following inflation so I'm happy to see that this place is pumping out good food at an affordable price even with the inflation. Honestly, this cart may be my new go-to for local halal food.
Last week, while I was in London for work, I stopped by Shah’s Halal Food. I usually avoid fast food or shawarma spots because of my strict diet, but I chose this place for two reasons: they serve halal food, and during a snowstorm it was the closest option available. I’m really glad I did it turned out to be a great experience.

I’ve been coming here since they opened almost 20 years. I love their chicken and lamb with rice. They recently switched the lamb from a lamb/beef mix to a 100% lamb. I was excited to try it, and it was very disappointing. My kids and wife were disappointed as well. Hopefully they switch back to the original recipe because if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
