The Hamptons vibe, delicious authentic Latin flavors! Professional staff. Great for the whole family or a couple lawyers tapping out for the day, this spot is all the vibes! Chris-the owner or manager (not sure) gracefully put out fires left and right! With a smile on his face. The bartenders were attentive even for only the đ lemon aid drinker! Definitely recommend! Will visit again soon! My photos are not the best but I was trying to protect the privacy of others. Enjoy! You wonât regret
The food was great and the staff was very friendly! I went with my family, and I ordered rib tacos, which were delicious. I definitely recommend it.
Not great. Weâre locals and weâve eaten at this place several times since it opened, and it just seems to decline with every passing year. They had outdoor tables on the first warm night of the season which happened to be the summer solstice, so I decided to give it a shot. At baseline this place is pricey. While the food is delicious, it feels pretty absurd to pay $40 for enchiladas, but itâs the Hamptons, so whatever. Eating inside will just damage your hearing as well as your sanity because the acoustics are so terrible and this place is LOUD. But they do have nice outdoor seating on a primo corner of SouthamptonâŠ.or so I thought. We were seated at an outdoor table on the end, near the rear kitchen/parking lot entry. I noticed a hose with a constant trickle overflowing the sidewalk in what was obviously an illegal plumbing setup. Halfway into our meal I started smelling the sewer belching eruptions of noxious gas that continued for the remainder of the evening. I went into the bathroom, and sure enough, the toilet belched gratuitouslyâŠ.this place has a serious plumbing issue which is probably related to the system capacity not being able to keep up with the number of people packed into this place in the summer. The smell is a pretty gross accoutrement to a very expensive Mexican dinner. But none of that was the fatal flaw to this meal. What made me unlikely to return anytime soon was the attitude of the waitstaff, or more accurately, the absence of polish. Including drinks this place is about $100/person, and for the tip that accompanies a big check like that I expect waitstaff with the personality to serve up a nice experience. While the service was prompt initially, the restaurant was busy, and it was long after weâd finished our entrĂ©e that the second round of drinks arrived, 25 minutes after weâd requested them. There was also no check-in during our meal like âhow is everything, can I get you anything elseâ, etc. Again, I understand busy during the high season in a restaurant and am able to excuse a great deal. But, I had to flag JosĂ© L to get a check as we sat enduring the nonstop sewer belches. He put the check down without any sort of visual regard, or thank you. Then I had flag him to process the card, which again he did without any âthank youâ or âcome againâ, or âI hope you enjoyed everythingâ. The waitstaff here are pretty much just glorified kitchen runners, and frankly, the staff in the McDonaldâs drive-thru are better trained to have more personality and better manners. Iâve been married to a Puerto Rican for 32 years and so this isnât a language or cultural barrier issues, this is purely a social class and training issue. If Iâm adding a 20-25% tip to a big check, I expect the service to measure up. This place doesnât. Between the gross stench and annoyance at the waiter, I found myself once again regretting coming here.
Food was great! Went with my colleagues and I ordered the salmon, delicious and savory flavor! Drinks were great and strong, just needed one tbh to get me tipsy. Deff recommend !
Chef Julian Medina bring her version of summer in the Hamptons and he nailed it. Light entrees such as grilled chicken with that side of butterhead lettuce and heirloom tomatoes of course avocado, but also successfully blending Hamptons classics such as lobster but in tacos! Loved it. Churros, ice cream and tres leches to die for. Did I mention that they had the best cocktails and avocado and chips hot of the press?
Basic/bad Mexican food. Really poor service (served multiple wrong items with no apology). You're better off eating anywhere else, especially for the price.
The ribeye tacos and the short rib sushi were SO DELICIOUS! Get those!
We got the shrimp and chicken as mains and those were good but not worth having again. When we go back we will focus more on appetizers and not do mains. Service was good overall :)
I recently dined twice at El Verano in Southampton and was genuinely impressed. A special compliment to the waitress who served my mother and meâthough I regret not remembering her name. She was attentive, made excellent recommendations.
Her suggestion of the salmon was spot onâone of the best Iâve ever had. As someone whoâs tried salmon at many restaurants, I know how hard it is to make it memorable, but the preparation with the carrot purĂ©e was outstanding. I also highly recommend the tuna ceviche; the sauce is addictive.
Overall, the food was delicious, the staff warm and professional, and the whole experience exceptional. I canât recommend El Verano enough.
Ate there with my entire family. Started with fresh avocado dip and chips, then had 6 dinners on the menu all different. Everyone DELICIOUS !!. Atmosphere was busy but not real noisy We could eat and chat without shouting. The wait staff was attentive but not hovering. They would look from a distance and see if we needed anything. A great taste I had the steak and it was fabulous. Easy to get to and we all had a great time !!

Came into the restaurant expecting bland and overpriced Mexican food but was pleasantly surprised to find my dishes full of flavor and spice. Very good food and very tasty margaritas.

Wonderful spot to get some favorites some exceptionally well. My favorite was the elote - so savory and with the perfect chewy, not-watery bite âš

A decidedly mixed bag. Some of the food was very, very good. But the sea bass sarandeado (sic) was a bland imitation of Contramarâs famous red and green fish. A few other gripes. They have dozens of different tequilas and mezcals. But only 3 rums (the insipid Bacardi, the sickly sweet Captain Morgan, and blah Santa Teresa). Mexico makes phenomenal rum, but nowhere to be found. And it took 40 minutes to get our check and leave. Also, ear-splitting loud.

Beautiful eatery at the end of Jobs Lane with views of Agwam Park, Monument Square, and the old art deco garage. Food is fantastic and a bit expensive. It can get very busy, so reservations are recommended.

My wife and I went to lunch today. I didnât mind the price, however the food came after we ordered and the portions were very ridiculously small. For example, the QUESADILLA DE VERANO was half the size of a slice of pizza costing $22. Additionally, for lunch, the Burrito El Verano cost $23 and $7 for some shredded chicken. This is nickel and dime restaurant.
The Pepito $35 sandwichâs steak had lots of fat of each piece.
And the 3 little churros with ice cream in a small soup cup cost $20.
Disappointing lunch experience and a costly ($144 plus 20% tip) lunch with no alcoholic drinks.
The ambiance: the restaurant was wide open getting exhaust smell from the crowded barrage of cars passing by.
Never again
