We shared a bunch of small plates and then had mostly fish large plates from the menu as well as specials. Loved warm salad and deviled eggs. Not too fond of meat and cheese board. Cocktails were very unique.

Sat at the bar and was served by two funny and welcoming bartenders. Food was delicious. We went with a couple of small plates, the tuna tartare was so fresh with nice kick to it. Coming back in two weeks for their brunch burlesque show!

To make the experience a little fun you get a “ pass word “ sent to you the day of your reservation... a knock on the door, a door panel slides open and you say the magic word ! It starts the whole b experience! First blush as you walk in your imported to a different era with the wait staff in appropriate outfits and the walls and music surround you with that “ speakeasy “ feel! Our server, Karissa was spot on with her comfortable way she welcomed us and explained the specials. We shared some of the offerings since they listed some as half or full order and Brussel sprout sides was excellent. All in all we will go back for sure.

Unique restaurant but very interesting. It was our second visit, the food overall was good. They had a chicken meatball special that was fair but everything else was good. Service was very good and the nice thing is they don't rush you. Would like to see a better wine selection but they do have a nice Pinot noir. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Entertainment and ambience was nice. Wish we loved it but food was only fair. Tried too hard to be different - red snapper with chili sauce was not good- small “full” portion for $34 and unrecognizable as fish. Pork loin was fatty and poorly presented. Parsnips and grits good. Deviled eggs yummy!

Drinks were yummy, the food was delicious and the service was very good. Very different menu and interesting choices. I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend going there.

Great fun sitting at the bar. Friendly bartender, excellent drinks, and great food. I had the hanger steak, Caesar salad, and Brussel Sprouts. All fabulous. My wife had the Snapper and fries. Loved them. The only shortcoming was the food wasn't as warm as it should be when it was served. Probably sat too long in the kitchen. Still, with a little more heat, this would have maybe been a 5 star review,

A fun thing .. you will get a pass word on the day your'e dining. .. a knock on the door and a slide open and the pass word gets you in ! The decor is exactly what you would expect at a speak easy joint! Music is perfect for the look .. the staff were knowledgeable and friendly .. The offerings were perfect for the evening ! We did small bites and the four of us nibbled the dishes as they came out. I can't pick one because they were all delicious! I did not think the specialty cocktails were that good. I just wanted a gin martini and it was terrible.. not sure how you can do that ?? Ok having said that we will definitely be back to enjoy a night of nostalgia and good food.

What a fun evening we had here! We went to see the music (great musicians!) and enjoy dinner out. The food was eclectic, tasty and well presented. We were full with being overstuffed. Decor is reminiscent of a speakeasy so we made sure we imbibed.

We really enjoyed this place! Very unassuming from the outside, it has a warm charm inside with the successful "speakeasy" charm they're creating. The door is locked and you "need" a password to enter. Most importantly, the food was really nice, tapas style with full entrees also available. The lobster sliders were great and well-priced, I think. My husband enjoyed his chicken pot pie. There are nice side dishes, too. The salad was delicious but maybe a little small. The creme brulee dessert flight and crepes suzette were yummy (and we should have gotten just one, but couldn't resist). We came out very happy we went and we will be back.

This was such a cute find. The speakeasy vibe and ambiance of the place is simply top tier. The food is delicious, drinks are great, and the spot is just an all around cool vibe. Perfect date night spot. We will definitely be back.

What a discovery! Great vibe, terrific live music that did not overpower the room. Food was flavorful (watch out for the Spicy Tuna Tartare--VERY spicy!) and with a wide range of options. Some of the tapas portion sizes seemed a little small, even for tapas, and were a little pricey. All in all, a good night out with friends. And don't forget the password when you get to the door!

Had a reservation for 2 and they sat us at a small cocktail table size for dinner. I was sitting on a couch and my wife on a chair at a right angle. Not a good setup for talking. I went to hostess and asked to sit at the bar which has 6 open spots and she said 4 were reserved and gave us 2. The 4 reserved spots were with 3 guys of which two order seltzers and nothing else. Not as good experience.

This place says it is "French" but there is nothing French about it. The food was truly inedible. We had Salmon that was frozen and fishy and served skin side up, hanger steak with what seemed like powdered, salty 'mashed potatoes". The only good thing was the IPA. Even the "French wine" we ordered was not drinkable. The location is terrific and Sparkill has so much charm. We enjoyed the jazz quartet and think this restaurant would do well to change its menu, stick with American Bar Food" and call it a day. The place seemed like it was trying to be friendly; but the wait staff knew nothing of French cuisine or wine or food in general for that matter. $150 wasted.
