I called to order a cake for a family members birthday. All I wanted was a fudgie the whale cake with two layers of vanilla ice cream. I was told that they could not do this over the phone, I would have to come in person. I explained I am handicapped and don't drive and there was no exception. Poor customer service and there was no care or even consideration to helping in this circumstance.
UPDATE: The Carvel down the road on Hylan Blvd was more then happy to help, very accommodating and even went out of their way to be nice about my experience with this Carvel, even though they certainly didnt have to say anything.

Awesome ice cream, love the soft serve pistachio. The ice cream and milkshakes are always great, used to live by Carvel in Brooklyn and I’m glad this place is just as good.

I used to love going to this place to get flying saucers but now lately I can’t stand this place. They mix all the flying saucers now and you can’t get a pack of all one flavor. So wait! I have to pay $17 for three flying saucers of the flavor I like and get three of a flavor I don’t care for? How does that make sense? Why not have some mixed and some all one flavor? Then when you ask the staff they just say sorry. Where’s the customer service? Why not say sorry we don’t have that right now but we can make you a pack of what you need? I’ve been going here for years and now I can’t stand the place. Which sucks because I enjoy the ice cream! You just lost this long time customer! I’ll have to go to a different Carvel when this one is just up the block from where I live. What a joke! To the owner. Sell the joint please because you and your staff are terrible!
