Been coming here for years! Always friendly with fresh delicious food! Hope they reopen soon.
I have placed many orders here and the person that answers always has an attitude. This time around, placing a big order and he starts yelling about how I want the order prepared. Very discourteous to customers.
Excellent food and service!
Bad experience,I went to order and the "gentleman " spoke to me like I was begging for free food , not a paying customer, always trying to rush me to decide what I wanted while I was the only customer there .When I asked him if I could eat in he quickly said NO . I asked why ? He said your order is too inexpensive to eat in . So I decided to leave.Unfortunately this was my first and last time at that place, never got to try the food .
Used to be awesome in the days of the all you can eat sushi but as of recently the food is all sub par.
Ordering from Fortune Hawaii has sadly been the worst experiences for pickup orders and customer service that I’ve ever seen. I’ve ordered several items on their menu, on a few occasions. Everything looked unappetizing and tasted like it was old, not to mention the meals meant to be hot we’re all so cold, like it could have been out of the fridge. I’ve only ordered here because I’m visiting a friend and it’s fast and convenient but we are no longer going to. The gentleman receiving the calls is not friendly at all and has only ever been completely rude to us. I called to ask what was in the pu pu platter since one of the meats looked like canned spam. I was put on hold right after I told him it was cold. Hung up every time I called back. They don’t deal with complaints whatsoever apparently, forget a refund or new order. I understand that it is a lot of work to run a restaurant or food business but this is poorly managed and poor quality. Very disappointed and do not recommend.
The place was freezing !!! They had a portable heater near the door. The sushi looked suspect against my better judgment I tasted it. It was dry and old. I’ve been going here for 20+ years this place is falling downhill fast! I hope I don’t get sick. I do not recommend eating here.
We had a great brunch. It was very full on a Saturday morning though. Not sure how much social distance was being done inside - it looked pretty packed. But they have a patio area with heaters that is more social distance friendly. Food and drinks were very good. Our server MONTREAL was amazing! Food was a little slow coming out (prob because they were busy) but then some other server delivered our food to a table that sat down WAY after us and our server made sure the manager comped us for a round of 4 mimosas because of that.
last night was the first time we came to that excellent restaurant. But It is definitely not the last time. We had great time with the courteous service, with the great meal and wine and with the honest pay. We will no doubt return there soon.
For dinner, we ordered two bottles of wine, one red and one white. They have a good wine menu with some interesting choices; We got a barbara and a white that paired well with seafood. For my main, I went with the creole jalapeno shrimp. The plate was deceiving seeming scantly portioned (compared to my companions) with the shrimp, beets and pineapple adorning the plate
Restaurantji Recommends
The food is good, the service is very good and this is an affordable place to take the family for sit down tablecloth service.
Covid practices seemed good. Accommodating order intake. Food was hot. Overall it's typical greasy late night Chinese food.
Got $40 worth of sushi, $5 for 2 pieces for salmon sashimi, I bought 4 pieces it look like it just got out of the freezer and got microwave deforest. The gingers smell so bad I wanted to vomit. Overall worst sushi I ever had, nothing is fresh not recommended the sushi
Food was good, peopleIn the place areRude as usual, you have to ask for soy sauce and hot sauce and then if you ask for extra then they want $2 for extra hot sauce! Give me a break
They need to update their hours and website accordingly. Numerous times they have said they were open and their website lets you place orders for delivery or pick up, and they’re closed.
