Stopped by Mother Mousse for some treats and left very happy! This place has been a Staten Island favorite for years, and it's easy to see why. The desserts are beautiful and taste as good as they look.
I always get my cakes here for any occasion, but the last 3 times I have gone the girl’s in the front attitude has been something else!!! It really makes me start realizing to seek another bakery.

Terrible Valentine’s Day cake hard as a rock and tastes like it’s been out for days, we didn’t place an order when the cakes r usually great rather we bought an already made cake which was absolutely dreadful, nobody was able to eat it.

Best and Freshest Pies, Cakes, Strudel, Cookies and a whole lot more! I've lived on the island since i was 8 years old which makes it roughly 35 years...and I dont go anywhere else! Try it out. Amazing all the time.
About 20yrs ago my husband bought me a birthday cake from Mother Moose and because we live in Jersey I would just get my cake from BJ's . WELL I WILL NOT BE DOING THAT ANYMORE! MOTHER MOOSE IS NOW THE BAKERY FOR ALL OUR CAKE NEEDS!!!!!

I ordered a cake from Mother Moose at their Victory Blvd. location for my daughter’s bridal shower this past weekend and had my sister in law pick it up for me. I chose the chocolate cake with cappuccino moose, fresh whipped cream frosting with chocolate covered strawberries on top. I used to order all of my daughter’s birthday cakes there when they were growing up and I lived on Staten Island but had not bought one in many years. The cake, moose and fresh cream were just the right amount of sweetness without being overly sweet and the cake was nice and moist. So many of the guests complimented on how delicious it was. I would buy a cake from them again and again it was wonderful!

I usually get my cakes from here and for the first time I can tell that the quality of the cake was BAD! Number one my son is allergic to peanuts and I got a Brownie cake which didn’t mention peanuts at all in the window description! My son is HIGHLY allergic to it and thank God my daughter was the one to take the first bite (she’s 8) and screamed Mami there is peanut flavored cake! WTH!!! And second of all my husband who Loves peanuts took only ONE bite and said that’s the worst cake I ever had! I got many cakes from there before, including the brownie cake and Never had a problem with flavor or quality!! Something changed and Never again! The peanut taste was strong, the description should have been peanut brownie cake !! And the quality bad the cake had crakes in it when it was time to serve
