I’ve had dinner at the stone house many times in the past and have never had a bad experience when it came to food or service. It was always a welcoming environment and a great place to eat. Joe is memorable and attentive as a bartender as well as a server whether it is a party or a casual dining experience. The stone house in its setting of clove lakes park is naturally gorgeous and the food is consistently delicious so when I became pregnant, I knew I always wanted to have my baby shower here.
Given all the above, nothing would’ve prepared me for the deplorable experience I had during my baby shower this past Sunday.
About a week before my baby shower my family and I had met with one of the event coordinators Nadiya who sat with us and addressed all my concerns. Nadiya always made herself available for questions, information and accommodations however she was not working the day of my event. The day of my event, my concerns and worries became reality and essentially ruined my party and overall experience.
I made the decision to remain in the fireplace room instead of the patio after I was assured that it fits 50 people more than comfortably. I was told that baby showers are done often in this room and it can accommodate the guests and all the baby shower decor. This was not the case.
A table was forgotten in a already cramped space so after I walked into my baby shower, I had guests coming in after me who had no where to sit.
The solution was to add a table completely blocking the balloon arch which was meant to take pictures in front of and blocking half the candy table that guests should’ve been able to access.
The first hour of my baby shower was spent with not only me at 8.5 months pregnant but my guests trying to move my candy table, moving my balloon arch, making sure later arriving guests had a seat and moving gifts in order to re set up a room that should’ve been set up properly when I arrived. All while Bella, the event coordinator was either setting up for a wedding that was happening hours after my party or hiding somewhere in the back - basically doing nothing to remedy the situation at hand or at least helping my guests and I reset the room. Dan, bless his heart, did his best to help and was the only one who lifted a finger along with my guests in order to troubleshoot the issues that seemed to just keep piling up and apologized for what was happening as I spent the first hour of my party extremely upset.
There were guests from other parties coming into the bar that was meant for my guests not only asking for drinks but taking food from the buffet on their way out of the bathroom - the buffet I did not even get the chance to see or enjoy. This was a concern I specifically brought up and was told other guests wouldn’t be an issue. (I understand that other guests needed to walk through for the bathroom but taking food as they walk out is disgusting)
I felt completely ignored. My baby shower seemed forgotten and insignificant. If I could choose one word to describe how I felt when I left my party it would be regret for having it there in the first place. The damage was done, I did not enjoy my experience and felt I had made a huge mistake choosing the stone house.
There is the saying that you get what you pay for, however in this case lack of service, ability to troubleshoot and sheer carelessness came with a hefty price.
I have never written a google review in my life. I am pretty laid back and understand that things happen but this was just unacceptable in my opinion and should serve as a warning for future events.
Two stars. One for Joe and One for Dan since they were the only saving grace.

I’ll start with the positives. The hall itself was beautiful, especially the outdoor patio. We booked it for our engagement party, and the venue made for a gorgeous event. The food was also very good and many of our guests said that the pasta and chicken Milanese were the highlights. The waitstaff was courteous and on top of everything and very professional. Very well done by them.
Now for the negatives.
The event coordinators, Bella and Nadia, were by far the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. From the beginning, communication was almost nonexistent. I would call and email multiple times, and it would take a week or more to receive a response. In my opinion, shouldn’t an event coordinator be reaching out to the client, especially as the event gets closer? Not once did either of them call to check in, ask if we needed anything, or walk us through final details. Every bit of communication had to be initiated by us, and even then, it was extremely difficult to get a response. We called management multiple times and none seemed to care, saying they were too busy to even get to the phone. We even drive there one time after a response like that and it was dead inside and the manager was on his phone. Absolutely ridiculous.
Our decorator was actually the one who informed us that the venue should have contacted us to discuss things like the floor plan, napkin colors, and tablecloth colors. They never did. Why? Even in the days leading up to the event and on the day itself we didn’t receive a single message from Bella or Nadia asking if we needed anything, congratulating us, or even thanking us for choosing their venue. Not one word. Is that not basic customer service?
We spent over $10,000 on our event, and we couldn’t even get a phone call?
To make matters worse, after we had already confirmed the colors for the napkins and tablecloths, our decorator called us to let us know the venue had provided the wrong colors. It held up the decor over an hour and our guests walked into a venue with undone decor AND the decorator wasn’t able to finish because of that mistake which left half of the table decor undone. It was another example of the lack of attention to detail and overall lack of care by the event coordinators.
Our families host events like this regularly, and everyone was shocked when they heard about our experience with the event coordinators. While the venue itself, the food, and the waitstaff were great, the complete lack of professionalism, communication, and customer service from Bella and Nadia overshadowed what should have been a stress free planning experience.

As both a vendor and a customer, I can’t recommend The Stone House enough. From a vendor’s perspective, the staff is always professional, organized, and a pleasure to work with, making every event run seamlessly. As a guest, it’s just as impressive—the venue is absolutely beautiful, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food and service are consistently excellent.
Whether you’re planning a wedding, shower, corporate event, or simply looking for a great place to enjoy dinner with family and friends, The Stone House is a place that truly delivers an exceptional experience every time.

Had brunch there for Father's Day. Not very good food. Disappointed in the quality for how nice the place was.

Went for Father's Day brunch and everything was great. My husband had the filet mignon and I had the omelet. The food was prepared perfectly. The waiter was very nice and efficient. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks or food to arrive. I would recommend Stonehouse to anyone looking for a delicious meal
We had a great all around experience! The weather was beautiful so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the wonderful view. The service and food were fantastic.
In fairness, we came on a day when there were multiple large parties celebrating graduations. Because the place is literally stone, sound just bounces off of every surface instead of being absorbed.
The place is super cute. All the employees were very nice. And all of our meals were very good.

We visited the Stone House on a Wednesday afternoon after my daughter's Masters ceremony. The food and service were outstanding and the grounds were beautiful and impeccably kept. We were a party of 8 and everyone left happy and full! It was my first time visiting and I will be back for sure.
