Authentic chinese food at its best. Priced well using fresh veggies and quality meats. It’s my take out go-to ??

Great little place thats hard to find in Stiny Brook across from the train station. It's in between the Asian market and The Bench. My favs on the menu are the beef noodle soup and the mango fried rice. The pork lo mein had sliced pork in it...not cubes or strips. During the semester, you'll find lots of college students eating here. Def recommended.

The food here is very good though the ambience is very basic. The food is authentic and this appears to attract a large Asian and Asian American clientele. It reminds me of Chinese food found in Queens in terms of quality and atmosphere. I’m glad to find such a place here.

I love this place. The woman who is here is always cheery. I really like this place more than the Chinese spots right by me but this is still really close. I especially like that the pork is always soft! Not the little tiny little hard pieces that are barely there you get from other places. The pieces are bigger and more abundant in rice and noodle dishes. Boneless spare ribs are amazing IMO my husband thinks they need more sauce but I'm sure they would add it if you ask. I really like the orange chicken and crab ragoons. The dumplings are OK but my 2yo loves them and he gets that not me so. Also they always get my order correct meanwhile I know I adjust things in an annoying way. Thank you!

ordered the sweet and sour chicken, it was an over fried mess of mostly oily batter and a few scraps of meat. The egg drop soup tasted like it was tap water with a few bits of egg and tomato shards floating around. i left wanting to vomit. Never again!

I am so impressed with this place. I was not expecting to be this pleasantly surprised at all. We took out from here for a family gettogether so I got to see and try a lot of different dishes and it was one after another huge hit!I ordered the roast pork over noodles. The dish was super clean, authentic and simple (and I mean that in the best way). The quality of the pork was noticeable just by looking at it. Broth, noodles (for sure home made, you could see and taste that immediately too), bok choy, roast pork. It was a 10/10.The Szechuan wontons are a must get. They have a nice kick to them, but I will never ever not order them moving forward.Wifey got the Pad Thai, she's a fanatic and a harsh critic of pad Thai, she loved 1089 Noodle House's.Most others in my family got very typical Chinese takeout dishes (Beef and Broccoli, Chicken and Broccoli, General Tso's) so I got to do some sampling. All fantastic. Needless to say, my biggest regret is not trying this place sooner. 1089 Noodle House will for sure be my go to from this point on.

Good Chinese for a normal fare. Really enjoyed the LARGE shrimp with lobster sauce.Although you can dine in the place, I'd recommend just getting take-out.Btw, they are closing for the summer in a few days....6/19/23.Vegetarian options: Lots of parking. Veggies, all u like!

This is a self service Chinese takeout and dining-in restaurant. It does not need tipping which is unusual in NY. Food is delicious and big portions. Price is what it is in the Stony Brook area and is reasonable. I strongly recommend.

I would suggest ordering the Mapo Tofu and the Beef Noodle Soup! I ordered on Uber eats and was pretty skeptical about this spot, but they did not disappoint! The Chicken and eggplant is also good, I ordered it for my toddler and he couldn't get enough of it!

The food is good, very stingy with the packs of sauce. Make sure to ask multiple times to get some.

There's no way what they're serving is really chicken. The texture was just not correct.

Authentic food. Great seating area to enjoy your food. Came here on a cold day to warm up my insides with a hot noodle bowl. Definitely worth it and the service was great.
