Based on the reviews, Recess Coffee Westcott is one of the best coffee places in Syracuse. It offers excellent espresso drinks and great bags of roasted beans for making drip coffee at home. The indoor seating is pleasant for chatting or working, though it can get busy with limited seating. The tables outside are great when the weather is nice, especially for larger groups. The banana toffee was an absolute delight with a wonderful flavour of banana throughout. Drinks are always made beautifully, and the mocha and lattes are popular. The establishment has cute displays for local artists and a ton of seating, creating an inclusive environment. However, the music and chatter inside can be a little loud, and the WiFi does not work. The indoor area is dimly lit and not very conducive for studying. Food like sandwiches does take a little longer to get than drinks.
