This is my first and last time ordering from this place. The food is nothing to brag about. It is basically nasty. I ordered Chicken and mixed vegetables with brown rice and spicy red garlic sauce. They gave me white rice when I asked for brown. The way they prepared my meal was like it was a nasty pot luck. The Bok choy was a pleasant but nasty surprise. It was over cooked and the spicy red garlic sauce tastes like they watered it down. The price that I paid for a small size was not worth it. Extremely disappointed. Could get better tasting and cooked Chinese food in Harlem compared to this nasty mess that they had the nerve serve up!

Nice workers. Nasty food. Chicken tasted like sink water. Wontons, nasty flavor and overcooked. Wonton soup broth was good with some hot sauce.

A typical little Chinese restaurant but a main street, downtown location for a small town. Not how my town is so to me the placement is odd but great for them/business! We entered for Boba. My 12 year old is a boba addict. One size only (boo.) I can state from being inside, they are offering a lot of food options and the staff was very nice (giving info about the Halloween parade that night.) Feels outdated and might need a deep dive clean but aren't those usually the best tasting kind of places? back to the boba- I had matcha and it was sweet. Like a hint of lavender added? Interesting and enjoyable. Just wish I could have gotten a smaller size but no worries- my 2 year old made sure to make a dent in mine! During the parade the owners family and friends took over the corner out front. Someone inside the restaurant came out in the middle of the parade and handled his folks an overflowing take out box full of fortune cookies. I am not sure if they were supposed to eat them but they saved them to throw at people in the parade who's costumes they appreciated. Somehow I ended up with a fortune cookie in my kids candy that night!

Very consistent basic Chinese. Good value for takeout place. Pleasant friendly and attentive staff.

Truly one of the worst Chinese foods I've ever had. Chicken looked and tasted like the inside of a McNugget.

I wanted to share my recent experience dining at this restaurant. While I appreciated the service when answering the phone to take my order, I encountered some issues with the food that I believe everyone should be aware of.I ordered chicken dumpling that barely had any filling. i felt as if i was only eating a dumpling sheet. The general tso was very disappointing!! all breading and no chicken and EXTREMELY sweet. The Kung Pao Chicken was horrible. The carrots/celery/peanuts were just thrown on the dish. no flavor or taste. I had to add hot sauce and soysauce to add flavor. After trying to force myself and my husband to finish atleast half of the food- we both found ourselves giving up because it tasted that bad. The food was underseasoned, over breaded and not enjoyable at all.To make matters worse, I experienced some digestive discomfort after the meal and felt unwell the following day. This has left me concerned about the food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen.Taste of China, do better as I know you were better in the past.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! I’ve given this place multiple chances to give me a decent order and they can’t even achieve that. I’ve ordered sesame chicken and kung pao chicken and neither had any chicken in it! Basically just a bunch of tiny shriveled up pieces of breaded fat. What a waste of money!

As bad as bad can get....and worse! An entire order was so bad that NONE of it could not be eaten! Even the usually safest items that would be good, or at least passable, at most other Chinese takeout places, were just vile. Despite it being a quiet enough time to make everything fresh, the chicken wings were simply re-fried after a prior cooking, maybe two. The result was hard, dried-out wings that were not edible. One was even missing the drum piece. Bottom line, Taste of China was basically trying to get rid of old, substandard product, and cruelly packaged them as if they were new and pass them on to us! Another usually safe choice, a chicken and vegetable Mei Fun, was barely cooked - maybe wokked for a minute or less(!) -- so the vegetables were still raw and hard! The rice noodles had zero taste, not even any juice from the chicken, which was rubbery and reconstituted tasting--again, as if it had been cooked earlier. No one wants to go back to a Chinese restaurant, or any restaurant, to have to return or replace an order. Rather, these dishes should be cooked to quality specs by the establishment, which is what customers are paying for. But this restaurant had no desire to make anything right, After a runaround of wasted calls, everything had to be thrown out!
