I never leave reviews, let alone a bad review. My family has lived in Thornwood for over 40+ years, and I’ve never had such a bad experience in my hometown restaurant like this before. I feel like before you decide to go to Thornwood Coach Diner, you should know what to expect. The waitress who served my mother and her sister today, on July 13th 2026 was incredibly disrespectful and rude from the moment she sat down. Unfortunately she wasn’t able to get her name, others wise her name would be stated in this written message. The waitress acted in as they were an inconvenience to her, and spoke in such an unprofessional mannerism. She made them felt so uncomfortable, my family left before even able to order their food. Customer service is one of the most important parts of any restaurant, and unfortunately this experience completely ruined their visit. No family should be treated the way we were. They came to enjoy a meal together, but instead left feeling frustrated and disrespected. I hope management addresses/trains their waitress on their mannerisms. I will 100% not be returning, and will NEVER recommend this diner to others. Hope this helps.

A classic diner and the food is good but the guy who checked me out was incredibly rude. I placed a pick up order through their website and he accused me of paying the wrong price or something and was incredibly rude. I’ve been coming here for over a decade, but this interaction alone is making me rethink that. This member of staff was incredibly rude so keep that in mind if you come here.

Great local diner in Thornwood. Centrally located with plenty of parking. Clean, comfortable and nicely decorated dining room. We went in for breakfast and were greeted and seated by the friendliest waitress. We were a table of 4 and she waited on us like we were the only people in the diner. The orders came out quickly and correctly and were all hot and delicious. This diner is highly recommended.

Ordered by phone a cheeseburger deluxe and two BLT's. Picked up my food there were no fries with the blts, and the cheeseburger didnt have coleslaw and pickles. And I paid 41 dollars. Definitely not returning there again!

I could not believe it when I went to this diner to order a dinner. I ordered two baked potatoes because I could not eat the other available vegetable options. I was given one (1) butter patty the size of a dime. I asked if I could have a couple more. I was told no I would have to pay for them. The owner was called over, and hesitantly gave me a couple more. I could not believe that I had paid close to $30 for dinner, I could not receive more than one butter patty for two potatoes. I will not be returning here after this my first time here. There are too many other options In Westchester.
