The last time I ate at this establishment was while I was in College about 45 years ago! Many years have passed and The Como still stands! My husband and I decided to give it a try for our wedding anniversary tonight. The restaurant is open only Wed, Thurs Fri and Sat from 4-8 pm for dinner. The restaurant itself was not very busy when we arrived and only a handful of guests were present while we ate dinner. Our server was not friendly and not very efficient. Once we received our dishes, she failed to check to see if we wanted more drinks or whether we needed anything. The food was delicious however and the prices were very reasonable - even in these crazy days of inflation. Portions were generous. Aside from the poor service, I would chance a return with our friends in the near future.

Take a step back in time to an Italian restaurant run “family style”. Lots of locals in the bar area, where Mario, the bartender, serves the libations and then gives you a friendly hug, “Italian style”. Dominic, the manager, loves to share the famous past of the restaurants and showed us the many photos of celebrities that have dined there: Yogi Beara, The Beatles, Chuck Norris, Bette Midler, Susan Lucci, John Travolta, Any Williams. Bob Barker, just to name a few.

While in Niagara Falls, NY we had a PARK, SLEEP, Fly Package, and went here for a nice, Italian dinner.

Is no stars an option? This was probably the worst meal my husband and I have had in a while. Our dishes were so full of breadcrumbs instead of actually flavor. My manicotti was suppose to be three cheese. There was barley a thin layer of cheese. Huge portion with no flavor. Unfortunately everyone around me commented on the terrible food. Not returning. Oh but the bread was pretty good, but still not worth spending money here.

The portions here are huge but it's a huge amount of tasteless, stale food. My partner ordered manicotti and it was clear that the filling was 80% bread crumbs. It was like a cheese loaf. The sauce was under seasoned. The bread brought to the table was stale. My croutons on my salad were very stale as well. The mozzarella on it was low quality preshredded mozzarella with the anti-caking coating. Not ok for an Italian restaurant. The best thing we had was the gingerale. This was possibly the worst Italian food we have had.I recommend they significantly reduce the portions and invest in decent ingredients instead of filler.

For Valentine's Day weekend, my husband and I stay'cation'ed in Niagara Falls. For dinner on Saturday, we were craving a good carbo'-load. We ended up at The Como shortly after they opened at 4pm and were able to get a table right away. Not long after we arrived it started to fill in quick, and I did overhear they take reservations, which seems like a good idea for Saturdays unless you get there close to open. Our server was very sweet and attentive, and kept our bread basket full and coffees topped off for our whole meal. My husband went with Fettuccine Alfredo. I had Baked Spaghetti Parm with marinara sauce. The marinara is vegetarian, whereas the tomato sauce is meat-based. We each added side salads to our meals, also. Our food came out reasonably fast, and it was all pretty good. I wouldn't say exceptional, but certainly satisfying. I like when the cheese on spaghetti parm is broiled with that bit of crisp. This cheese was underdone, but still melty and tasty enough. My husband's Fettuccine Alfredo was flavorful, but the sauce was runny, not the thick and creamy Alfredo he prefers. But our food was overall good. The bountiful bread and butter basket, our very kind server, and the generous portion of comfort-food-carbs we each had made our dinner together an enjoyable one.

My family and I decided to go to the Como (Pine AVE Niagara Falls) this Thanksgiving also accompanied by my aunt. We have frequented this restaurant for many years including renting the Banquet room for many occasions the last time being when my grandmother past away. It was one of my Late uncles' favorite places to eat for many years as well. My aunt heard they were serving a turkey dinner special so we decided to go. My wife had never been so I bragged we should eat Italian food instead because it was so good here. First I wanna say the bread and salads were fantastic as well as the service. The problem was with the main dishes, I ordered Fettuccini alfredo with chicken that came out LUKE WARM, DRY and LOCKED up like it had sat in the window for 20 minutes. My wife ordered the Lasagna, and I noticed her loading the hot sauce on and asked if everything was ok, she said it was slightly cold in the middle and it looked like a piece of quiche standing firm like it was either frozen or refrigerated for a couple days. She then said feel your daughters ANGEL HAIR pasta, it was harder than it should be! My aunt the said her $30 Turkey dinner tasted terrible as well. I told everybody, well lats get out of here and we'll do something else, we really were not gonna say anything till a older gentleman came over and asked how is everything and would we like some boxes to take our food with us, we politely declined at which point he asked why? Anyway I showed him all the issues and Denial and excuses started, I told him don't worry about it,and we would just like the check, and I said look, COMP the bill and we will TIP the waitress and walk away, or don't and we will pay the check, tip the waitress and you can read about it on YELP tomorrow! Well, as you can see, he chose OPTION 2. I am not sure what they took off the bill but the waitress gave us a bill for about $50, we tipped her and left! Never again!

Old school Italian, food is awesome and service is fantastic. Don't miss the Italian cookies next door at the Como Deli

We have been going to this incredible establishment for over 20 years. This is our first time back since Covid prevented us from traveling there from Canada. Still the same warm welcome, great food and charming atmosphere! Melissa took great care of us. Try to make the time to stop in the bar and enjoy a drink with Mario and also gaze at the walls with signed pictures of celebrity visits!

We just got back from a visit to the Falls. IT was a Saturday night and there were five people eating there. In the old days it would have been packed. I'm sorry to say the food was poor. The bread varied from fresh and good to old and hard. My daughter ordered the chicken and didn't eat any of it. It was hard and cold.I had spaghetti and it was just okay. I know the restaurant is for sale. I am surprised that it is still open. It's just not the same as it was.

Everything was delicious. Beginning with the bread, House salad, Meat Ravioli, Lasagna to the Spumoni and the Canolis!!!

I've been coming to the Como since I was a child. And as an adult I've visited the deli often. Of all the food there my favorite treat was the bow tie cookies. They have been a favorite of mine for decades. Recently I stopped in to buy a dozen. Upon arriving home I opened the box and found what appeared to be only a few. The size of the cookies have gotten much smaller. A dozen used to fill the box, now you're lucky if it fills it half way. The recipe seems totally different as well. Thick, chewy, no longer light and airy. All things change I guess. ;(

I came here with my grandchildren, because I was here 40 + years ago. Not much changed from the decor to the food. Food still excellent and staff were accommodating and friendly. Glad I returned.

Excellent long time family restaurant in Little Italy. Had fabulous meals there (chicken cacciatore and lasagna) and great service. Huge portions! Highly recommended!
