The best food in the area service is great and the help there is fast and friendly, especially Shirley

Everyone talks it up and it's solid. They are a bit deliberate on seating and food prep but it's good quality and fair pricing. Nothing bad yet

After experiencing the magical culinary delight that the plum blossom had to offer I will never be eating at another Chinese restaurant in the area. Everything we had at this place was 100% on point and the price point was abnormally low for the quality of food.

Loved our first visit. Service and food should get 6 stars. The day/time of our visit, dining room was crowded and a bit noisy. Liked the decor, but proximity of other diners with loud voices & uncontrollable coughing make me give only 4 stars for atmosphere. Shumai was excellent, as was the Sa Cha beef. Scorpion bowl was a winner too. Will go back when Google says a little less busy.

We had seen many pictures of the interior online and had heard good things about the food from a Facebook group but we were rather disappointed. They are obviously understaffed as we waited about five minutes or so before anyone approached us at the front to seat us. The main area looked lovely, we were early so plenty of tables, but instead we were seated in the back area. This area is unfinished, unfinished drywall and raw wood. Not something that I would have thought twice about but given that the main dining room is absolutely beautiful, it was a stark and disappointing contrast. In hindsight, I should have asked to sit in the main area since this was a low-key but celebratory dinner.Service at first was slow, a bit of a wait for the pot of tea, but the server was good the rest of our experience. As for the food, overall we found it lacking much flavor. The fried rice lacked seasoning(?), soy sauce(?) or something that would have made it more than just rice/veg/pork and there was very little of the veg/pork in proportion to the rice. The scallion pancakes were rather oily but flavorful. My wife's egg roll was almost entirely filled with cabbage, again very little pork.I had the sa cha beef and while there was some mild pepper in the back of my throat, the rest of the sauce lacked any ginger/garlic savoriness. My wife and daughter thought their dishes were adequate, good but bland. We were surprised by the lack of vegetarian dishes. There were some but no fried rice or lo mein without meat. Surprising!Perhaps it was the anticipation based upon the reviews and photos that the experience couldn't live up to. Maybe if the area we were seated in was finished like the rest of the restaurant we would have been too distracted to focus on the blandness of the dishes.Honestly, the atmosphere cannot make up for the lack of flavor.

I love tye food here. It is the only place I order General Tso Chicken from. The sauce is always perfect and chicken always has a crisp to it. Most times the rice is perfect bit there has been a time or two where it wasn't great. Business is great here there is usually a crowd but staff is good about getting guest seated as quickly as possible. I have never dined in I just call and go pick up my food and my food is hot and ready when I arrive!Parking: There is alot of traffic on Hoosick St. So good luck trying to get in and out.Kid-friendliness: Nice atmosphere, no loud offensive music.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.

Beautiful decor, *completely* inedible food. The seafood is wet, sloppy, and somehow also very tough. No salt or flavor of any kind. No booze in the cocktails, weirdly. Feeling like absolute hell after eating there. Huge bummer!

Had a great experience Thursday night. Food was excellent quality and not at all stereotypical. Service was top notch and polite. I really recommend this location to anyone looking to support local businesses. Please note they can get busy so adjust your expectations accordingly if you go during a peak hour.

The interior is breathtaking and that is the 3 stars. There are much better asian restaurants. Food is meh at best. Service was good.

What an utter disappointment. We arrived at about 6:10 on a Wednesday night. They didn't even take our order until almost 7:00. We didn't take our first bite of SOUP until 7:30. An hour and a half before the soup arrived. I got the Bangkok Shrimp Noodles. No flavor. None. I sent them back. We were there over two hours. By the time dinner arrived we weren't even hungry. Troy has a lot of options for really good food. Do yourself a favor and check out one of those places. Stick to Plum Blossom for takeout only. The food is decent, but not worth the hassle. (Skip the noodles!)

Excellent service and interesting menu. The food is delicious! So nice to sit at a table that is set properly with a white tablecloth. you can always count on a plum blossom for a good meal.
