Came in 20 minutes before close was told grill was off denied hot sub but got cheese curds on the way out notice no marinara and asked for some and was told no just no the two guys were rude and closed as soon as we left

A couple weeks ago, a friend and I were in the Adirondacks for the weekend; we were leaving that Monday and needed food to hold us over until we got back to the Buffalo area. Well, driving through Tupper Lake we found a small sleepy plaza and a sub shop in it? Cool, that’ll do!While the employees were friendly enough, it was a bit odd that the prices were not on the menu board… Who does that at a primarily take out establishment?Upon sitting down to eat our subs (I purchased a full size tuna and a soft drink from the dispenser), it was noticed that the tables were kind of sticky almost as if they were not cleaned recently or they had used some kind of strange cleaner on it. That said, the building wasn’t in the best condition as shown by walking in and seeing the ceiling tiles in disrepair. Bathrooms were decent.The Tuna Sub I had ordered did not come toasted (Apparently they don’t toast the sub rolls at this place) which was a bummer honesty but I’d like to think it was made up for with the rather generous amount of tuna meat that was applied to the sub itself. The produce on it was of reasonable quality also, which is as far as I am concerned a reasonable plus.Would I come back if I had the option? Well, I am not sure especially considering there’s a newish McDonald’s just across the parking lot.

No prices posted anywhere. I’ve never felt like such an inconvenience asking for information that everywhere else has on a menu. The employee had to look them up on the register. Decent food.

I'm not from here and we needed sustenance. I looked on Yelp and found this place. I have to say, we were impressed. This service was fast and friendly. Would definitely eat here again. We had a grilled chicken sandwich and a cheesesteak. We also had our first ever cheese curds! It was all very tasty!
Jriggity Jrexx. An upstate institution. I had written the whole chain off years ago after an "incident" at the location in Massena and some brown salami they were serving. Well... fast forward to 2023 last week. I was in Tupper Lake on some business and I decided to give Jrecks another shot. Theres no app but their website does provide seamless ordering that is also apple pay enabled btw. When I arrived to pickup my order, I saw a healthy sized line and a number of customers eating inside. It seems to be popular around lunchtime which is great. I dont know if I just looked like an out-of-towner or perhaps no one orders online in advance but the staff spotted me and asked if I was picking up an online order. Everyone was very friendly. The interior is a bit worn and the plaza parking lot condition looks abandoned and has all the expected associated hazards. This is not Jrecks fault though, obviously.My cold cut sub was basic and made exactly to order. The rolls are little weird but my only real issue was they put what seemed to be an entire jar of mayo on a half sub. I had to use paper towels and scrape a bunch off. Otherwise it was fine.

Delicious subs! We always stop here when we're headed to the Adirondacks. They make the best ones here. Saranac Lake Jreck's isn't quite as good as this location.

Repeated 3 times I wanted sweet potato fries....regular fries. Foods is mediocre at best. Get some chef boyardee and save yourself the experience.
