Great local diner, love the staff and the food, very reasonable prices.
Didn't realize what time it was when we got there (about 2:40). Closes promptly at 3:00 on Saturdays and were told the bakery was all cleaned out except for cheesecake. Waitress even met us at the door to tell us the kitchen had already closed (customers were still being allowed to finish their meals). As we were leaving, more people were driving into the lot to meet the same fate.
Eh, hopefully next time we're through Unadilla we'll be more timely.
Great staff and food....the donuts are fresh baked and so delicious
The Unadilla Diner, under new management, has become a hidden gem in the Village of Unadilla, NY. The waiters are nice and silly, the ambiance is great, and the food is delicious - especially the bacon cheeseburger and the fabulous donuts from the Donut Hut. The restaurant is clean, the food arrives quickly, and it is wheelchair accessible on the right side of the building. It offers a prime spot with a great view of the park and the lively streets. The menu has a good selection, and the portions are decent. Visitors, including families with children, find the atmosphere kid-friendly. Customers have enjoyed various dishes such as chicken fingers and fries, hot dogs, cheesesteaks, pulled pork, donuts, and Danish. However, some have experienced early closures; for example, one visit around 2:40 PM on a Saturday found the kitchen already closed, with only cheesecake available from the bakery, and staff meeting guests at the door to inform them of the closure. Despite this, the overall experience remains positive, and many look forward to returning when they can be more timely.
