Zero stars if I could .... the Patties were moldy, and clearly not fresh. Cornmeal had no salt, chicken tasted like it slept over. There's no way this food was made day of sale. Staff was rude with no remorse for the mistake made on their end. Definitely do not

I had a taste for some griot so I stopped by. Definitely an authentic spot as I was met with great smells and the sounds of folks speaking Creole. Service up front was really cool and working hard to complete all the orders. Authentic Haitian food taste.

My mom bought fritay from them yesterday and she wanted fish in sauce instead of their $30+ fried fish. This is what they gave her. Barely any plantains Accra and potato. She paid $22 for this. This is robbery. The lady was like the container is light because you didn't get any rice.... The whole point of fritay is fried foods to go.

The food was terrible. Definitely not fresh, it felt like the food had been there for days and they just threw it in oil again.

Food is not good, tasteless disgusting ? I was vomiting ? for 2 days after eating half rice and beans and a miserable stew turkey ? the food smells like baby’s diaper.

I was craving for some “Mayi Moulin” & my husband mentioned for me to try the new Haitian restaurant on Front St. When I reached at Soumie’s outside’s appearance looks real nice. Entering, it was still a buffet style, nice soft Haitian music playing, like the fact it was not dark. The lady welcomed me nicely. Inside was clean and neat. When I reached home, they did not disappoint me at all. The portion of the meal was fair. The first taste of that “Mayi Moulin” took me back to Haiti ?? with a quickness. I can’t wait to see what else Soumie has planned. One thing, Soumie definitely has my vote and I will be returning. Best of luck Soumie and Congratulations!!? I’m rating it a four mostly cause of the taste. I hope to rate it a five in the future.

Personally If you're looking for a really good and delicious traditional Haitian food, Soumie is the spot. I like the fact that it's a brand new small, quaint take out restaurant that is clean. The two times I visited, the staff behind the counter were very nice and polite. I usually get the fish which is made fresh to order, rather than have it sitting in the pan all day. Even one of the owners took the time out to greet me and give me some extra food and made sure I was happy before I left.

Real authentic and delicious Haitian food. My only issue is the lack of options and no menu. Customer service is...... ummm it could be worse.

Didn't have anything I asked for from their menu. Staff was polite but not willing to suggest anything, the atmosphere was like a low-budget cafeteria/take out joint, drab boring pale colors. I think the biggest impression I got from the person behind the counter was they didn't seem to care whether I ordered or not.
