Great spot for expresso done the right way. I was initially going for a double, but then I saw they have affogato, vanilla ice cream with coffee, so I ended up with a single and a dessert (AND a spinach pastry). Very nice atmosphere and use of the space they have, will be back next time I'm in Utica.

This place is amazing ! I got the “Frulatto Di Caffe”, and when I tell you it was phenomenal, believe me. The costumer service was amazing and the atmosphere was wonderful. If you’re looking to relax while enjoying the most delicious coffee and pastries this is the place to be.

Joseph Putrello Coffee is hands down the best place for coffee in Utica,NY. The atmosphere is amazing and has a welcoming feeling. customer service is very quick! I definitely recommended the Bicerin.
I Recently Tried The "Frulatto Di Cafe" And I Can't Believe I Hadn't Tried It Before. I Was Really Pleased With My Choice, As It Didn't Disappoint. I Also Had A Warm Chocolate Croissant With It, Which Complemented Everything Perfectly. I Will Definitely Be Returning For More.

I'm not a coffee drinker but I did get their hot chocolate and it was really good. Most places take some milk and squirt chocolate syrup and some whipped cream and charge you for basically coco water. These places are just selling chocolate vibes at cafe prices and I cannot stand for it anymore! So I'm willing to believe that Mr. Joseph knew that hot chocolate was not getting it's due respect as a cafe drink and decided to change that. This bistro makes hot chocolate how is supposed to be made...with chocolate. The coco was rich, bitter, sweet and warm. It that like a 60-70% coco bar that they melted in the cup then added milk and some whipped cream. This is how hot chocolate is supposed to taste! I almost got chocolate waisted! Lol To top it off, I got a lemon cheesecake and it was so light and fluffy with a really good crust. This is shop is not playing when it comes to quality and flavor.
