How DARE they! I walked into Kookie Q’s, just looking for some good old-fashioned Hershey’s ice cream, and instead, I’m bombarded with the *most outrageous* display of kindness and joy I’ve ever seen. Who gave these people permission to be so friendly?! I wanted to brood in peace with my ice cream, but noooo—they had to ruin my mood by being warm, chatty, and making me feel like *I belong*.
What is this place, a dessert shop or a therapy session? I came for a cone, not some soul-healing experience! Stop spreading peace on earth and let me be miserable with my mint chocolate chip in silence! Honestly, if you’re looking for grumpy vibes and subpar service, go somewhere else—Kookie Q’s will leave you smiling like a fool against your will. Unbelievable!

I decided to stop by kookie Q one afternoon for a Hot Fudge Sunday with my wife since we were in the area. The first thing I noticed was how overpriced they were as this was my first time there. I figured since we were there I would just pay the extremely high priced Sundaes. I could not believe how awful the ice cream tasted, I was like for that price this better be an awesome Sundae and it was not. The ice cream had an awful taste as was the toppings after a few spoonfuls we both threw it in the garbage and left. The last time I ever went there and the almost 20 dollars I spent on 2 sundaes was a joke.

Oh man, this spot is great! Reasonable prices for AWESOME sundaes! 100% recommend anything with the peanut butter swirl ice cream. Also the staff were lovely and service was speedy!

The wait time to get my ice cream was approximately 30 minutes. In one line you pay and order and they you need your go to middle line and wait again and then get your ice cream ?. The girls (workers) they were nice no issues on that. Maybe they need to hire more ppl to make it faster, like other ice cream places in town.

Tiny amount of ice cream compared to the amount of toppings they put on it.
I love ice cream, but this one tasted like water- dirty crumbly water that falls off the cone and isn’t creamy at all.
I haven't had the dole whip soft serve, though I wish I had gotten that instead.

No longer serving food at the North Utica location. Ice cream prices have increased quite a bit it seems. Milkshakes are $4 for "16 oz". Unless you want hard ice cream, add 50 cents, or if you want chocolate syrup, add $1. Or if you want extra thick then another 50 cents. The problem is the milkshake is so thin it is essentially milk with some ice cream flavor. Tasty. But not what it used to be. Furthermore not even filled to the top, so more like 14 oz.

Chicken on bread, cold and hard. Fries were ice cold and so gross.
For $32 plus tip, I would at least expect hot … maybe warm food.
