What happened to Sunnys ? We always loved this place. Ordered my old standby for a change General Tso's . The chicken was round balls of processed chicken with a underlying taste of a McNugget. Egg rolls small with a typical taste of frozen. This was also the first time I have ever been charged for white rice with this meal.Too bad I always enjoyed there food

This was my first time having Sunny's in years & unfortunately it wasn't as good (regarding flavor) as I remember. I appreciate that their spice levels are legit my dish was truly ???? but that was the only flavor throughout the dish which wasn't pleasant after a few fork fulls.. The dragon noodles were cooked well but were bland as was the general tso chicken.

Always so friendly, best Cambodian food I’ve had. The mekatang is made perfect and always brightens my day :) every dish taste home cookedthey try to cook authentic Asian dishes, so If you’re looking for quick Chinese American dishes, it may not be flavors you are looking for!For everyone that gave the sesame chicken a bad review, try Panda Express next time :)lol

This is a copy and paste of my google review: Okay, I want to clear up some of these bad reviews. 1. Sesame Chicken is an American/Canadian dish. 2. Google what to order, stop getting boring a** Asian American flair dishes. 3. And lastly most Asian places have those dishes because they know your knowledge of Asian cuisine comes from Panda Express. Now, on to the review! The wait did kinda suck, but the food was killer. I have never had a curried fish before, but was blown away with the flavors. Also the scallion pancakes were delicious too! Thank you Sunny.

The menu has all the favorites of Chinese, Thai, and Burmese cuisine. My husband and I both ordered from the "Chef's Specials" list and both were fantastic. The level of spiciness skews intense, so choose "mild" unless you're absolutely confident in yourself! The homemade nuoc man is fantastic! Loved the wooden carvings, the textiles, the flowers and colors on the wall. Every table has ornate chopsticks ready for use, just as in Asia.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian dishes available.Kid-friendliness: Children very welcome.Parking: Both sides of the street, safe neighborhood.

authentic, tasty and spot on. The original Cambodian/Laotian in Utica, now a foodie mecca. The spicing is right, the portions generous, and the quality concomitant with the pricing. which btw is eminently fair you can tell people from Utica, incl families enjoy eating here. They are the dominant customers. I wish these guys continued success

Whatever you do, do not order from here! This was the worst food I've ever tasted from an asian restaurant. Im not sure if its what I ordered or what but everything was extremely underwhelming. I got the sesame chicken combo with fried rice, the "sesame chicken" tasted like frozen popcorn chicken bites that they cooked and threw in barbecue sauce because that sauce definitely didn't taste like sesame chicken sauce at all. The rice had no flavor at all. I also got crab ragoons which tasted like mashed potatoes in a fried wrapper, im telling you no crab flavor at all and wasnt sweet how Id expect. The "eggrolls" were more like mini spring rolls w pork in them, also looked like they were probably frozen. Even the chicken wings i orderd which smelled okay at first were not classing crispy wings but they were red and the "sweet and spicy" sauce that i got on the side tasted like apple sauce or something. Horrible experience, makes me want to order some real chinese from a better restaurant. I only came to this one because it was 10 mins closer to my job and the other restaurant i usually go to is about 15 mins away. Next time ill make the hike to the restaurant i know wont disappoint because now im out of $25 for food that shouldnt even be considered asian food. :(

Best Asian restaurant in the area , great service, no music, extensive menu, everything extremely delicious

Instead of the general Tso chicken i ordered, I got popcorn chicken coated in general tso sauce. (The same as the sesame chicken I got) Their fried rice is literal Mexican rice and their barbecued chicken skewers werent seasoned and were pale as snow. Save your money and go somewhere else. Not sure how they have 4 stars.

Older man that takes orders has no matters or social skills. Likes to yell and make a scene for everyone to hear if something is not right. He was telling me to yell across the restaurant and say " hey you " to get his attention. I told him that's not polite, but he didn't understand. Not coming back here again ever. The Young guy in the back should be dealing with customers in my opinion.
