We were there for Brunch and it was incredibly disappointing. A lame menu, the Frittata was the smallest I've ever seen and it was cold, the waiter never asked if I wanted a coffee refill, my toast was late arriving with the order, and nobody bothered to thank me on the way out. This has to be the most pretentious excuse for a restaurant I've ever been in. It's supposed to be one of the top 100 restaurants in the country? Which country would that be? Definitely over-rated.

We had a Dinner service after our wedding there in The HIEBER ROOM with 32 people and it was Absolutely Perfect!!! The staff are ABSOLUTLY amazing. The food is amazing. And the presentation is on point. It is a mellow and Beautiful atmosphere. We couldnt of been happier with our service.

Beautiful restaurant very fancy but food is horrible .... Year ago it was better everyone says... Steak was stone couldnt cut it and it said ny strip no way that was !!! Also salad dressings made in house only 2 choices really not good.... Salad Chicken 12$ more was horrible... The 29$ board of apperizers shrunk by half and everything on the board other than pealed almonds and mini cukes tasted off ....no flavor very weird old?!?! odd ... NA drinks were sooo bitter not the right flavor more like frozen made nothing fresh and not sweet at all.... Server gave all the wrong info because we asked before ordering...even the desert chocolate meringue the chocolate was bitter and salty?!?! And meringue was marshmallow so not what it needs to be ... Food is horrible for this kind of place .... Re-visit the menu!!! It is so high priced food needs to be one of a kind !!!!!!! $100 per person for steak mashed and one desert one NA drink!!!! Again restaurant absolutelly beautiful every corner of it!!!!! Fix your menu!!!!

I love the ambience of their new location! The the scallops and risotto can't be beat. I definitely would recommend. They showcase New York wines, which have come a long way. We will be going back soon.

Took a trip to Utica to visit my nephew in college. Took him here for dinner. The food was fabulous!! Drinks were delicious! Our server, Alana, gave us great recommendations. The atmosphere was nice with a cozy fireplace. Definitely worth it!

Always a fabulous time here! It is our go to spot for special occasions. Food and cocktails are great and the service is always wonderful.

Atmosphere and service were great. I also enjoyed my cocktail. But the main draw, the food, while fine, was not worth the cost. I ordered the fried chicken katsu sandwich. It looked great, but the bread overwhelmed the chicken, which meant that every bite was like 85% bread and 15% chicken; and the thickness of the bread made the sandwich too hefty to bite easily. The dish could be improved by replacing the bread with something smaller that better accommodates the chicken.

I expected more from this restaurant. The aesthetics and atmosphere were gorgeous. The food was overall average. It was bland & cold.

Ate here 10/6 with my wife. Had decent reviews. About 30% full. Menu was decent, wine list satisfactory, mainly NY. Service deplorable. Had to seek waitress out twice for tab and receipt. She was busy talking with coworkers. Food was unimaginative and tasteless for both of us. Poor service, poor food offerings. Will not return.

The tailor and the cook is a Utica institution at this point. Their food has declined in quality slightly since they moved locations. If I was to recommend any restaurant in the Utica area to somebody interested in high quality food, Taylor and the cook would be the first place I would recommend.

The ambiance and lots of separate seating areas make this a very comfortable eatery. The food is unique, tasty, presented well and made from fresh ingredients . Put all of this together with an attentive and friendly waitstaff and you have a WINNER!

By far, the funkiest menu in Utica. With classic dishes if comfort is your forte, or playful, fresh dishes if you’re feeling adventurous. A big city vibe with farm to table ingredients that nurture the soul. A standout for our city.
