I arrived today for brunch but the hostess indicated that they couldn't seat me due to a "technical problem". I was told I could sit at the bar in the meantime. There were others seated in the mostly empty dining area and there were around 8 people sitting in the bar area at 10:15 am. The hostess did not indicate a wait time nor did she indicate what the "technical problem " was that wouldn't allow me to be seated. I simply said "have a nice day" and turned and left. Sorry, the place wasn't inviting to me.

The food is mediocre at best and has really fallen off since moving to the new location. Atmosphere is nice but the Staff is extremely rude and service leaves a lot to be desired. I host business dinners for large groups and will never be going back there because of the way I was spoken to by the crosseyed employee that curses at people.

Not much choices on the menu. Very similar to fast food quality but made to look fancy and over priced. Waitress completely ignored some of things we ordered. Coffee was decent. Definitely overpriced 3.50$ for a cup of coffee is ridiculous.

Best restaurant in the Utica area, hands down. The corned beef special was the best plate of food I have had in a long time. The meatloaf was wonderful. A great restaurant is one that does everything, even the little things, perfectly. The Tailor and the Cook is just that sort of restaurant. The bar staff and serving team were wonderful. Appetizers were amazing. Just a great experience.

The service here was incredible. Very friendly and relatively quick. The steak was cooked to perfection but the sides (carrots) were cold.

The range of dishes offered is truly amazing! It's so fun to be able to be adventurous between traditional American dishes, innovative vegan, and super fresh Asian noodle bowls. Classy ambience, attentive staff, fascinating dinner choices. Don't skip dessert. The cheesecake with walnut crumble base and locally-sourced blueberry topping was outstanding! Prices are reasonable for the quality and amount of food plated.

The atmosphere is amazing. The new location has a private room which made it so easy to hear. Food was fresh and delightful.

Here for a birthday dinner for our daughter and the entire experience did not disappoint. We were a little bit early, so we headed to the bar. Bar atmosphere is top notch! Great look and feel. Our table was ready in a few minutes, but they didn't mind us hanging in the bar for a bit. The restaurant itself holds up the same cool atmosphere as the bar. The menu choices are fairly extensive for a self-proclaimed farm to table place. Nicely rounded choices of styles and tastes. I had the "Not Your Grandma's Meatloaf" and it is excellent. The caramelized onion marmalade, the charred corn....it was all so very, very good. At our table, we also had the scallops, the vegan risotto, the burger, the filet mignon, and the open faced steak sandwich. Everybody enjoyed their dish. A wonderful experience and Nick, our server, did an excellent job.
