I always love this restaurant. It is a gem. A couple times a year I ride the Amtrak train to the station and have a nice lunch date there. The food is consistently very good.I would have rated the service a 5 because it is usually very good. However, on this day they closed early, without warning, to prepare for Valentine's Day diners.? We had to take our dessert to go.

we came here for Valentines Day Dinner! The food was excellent - the chicken saltimbocca was perfect, and our Kaitlyn was exceptional! The drinks she made were delicious, and her service was phenomenal. Cannot wait to go back!

Chicken dish with wine sauce wasn't the greatest. Sauce was too thick. Couldn't taste the wine at all. Needed the acid from the wine. Seafood dish again seemed amature. The squash and flower made it look elegant, but the food needed more flavor, very bland. The salad was nice and sorbet was nice. The server was abrupt and not nice. We went on a snowy night and she almost turned us away stating they were expecting a large crowd. There were only 4 tables filled when we got there. An hour later, still no huge crowd. We were walk ins and she didn't want to take us with no reservations. She reluctantly sat us, waited on us with attitude. We tipped well, but I felt like we were an inconvenience to our server. Customers should NEVER feel that way.

The food was fantastic, all the way around, everyone was very happy with their food. The atmosphere is pretty mixed; It’s in the middle of the old train station which is gorgeous, but with all the doors open, it’s a bit loud. The staff was very friendly and we’d definitely go again.
Worst experience ever. I'm usually not over critical of restaurants. I understand they have good days and bad days but this was inexcusable. We had reservations for 8 people to celebrate a family members birthday. The restaurant was busy but not all the tables were filled. Waitress had a scowal on her face the entire time. Not the least bit friendly. Plates were not served to each guest but rather placed on the corner of the table for us to pass out. Meals came out 1 at a time at 10 minute intervals. Not sure how that happened. One of our relatives got the special beer battered fish fry. She attempted to share but the minute she broke the crust you could smell a terrible fishy odor. Needless to say she couldn't eat because it tasted so bad. The next two dinners that came out were cavatelli. They were basically uncooked. One was redone the other was removed from the bill. My wife's salmon was murdered because it was so overcooked. By the time the last 2 were served everyone else was done. The coffee tasted like colored water. I guess it was such a terrible experience I could never recommend Trackside to anyone.

Good food. Gorgeous inside. Just was surprised only one waitress/worker on staff for a busy Friday!! So she told us someone else called in and we all felt bad for her. We had a large double birthday party and had hoped to have exclusive service to keep the drinks and food coming so of course with all the other tables we didn't/couldn't get that! But that wasn't her fault! Otherwise great food and would try it again for dinner! Hope other days the staff has better help!

Had dinner there and the service was shockingly bad. The menu was short, much shorter than the online menu. That made sense when we saw other tables being shown a board with lots of specials. Too bad our waitress never mentioned specials when we ordered. We were served bread with no bread plates. I had to get up and find a busgirl to get us some plates. Courses took ages to arrive. We barely saw our waitress during the meal. We ended up grabbing the busgirl so many times for help that we ended up tipping her when we left as well. At this price point, service shouldn't be this bad. This is a management problem, it's not servers' fault if they haven't been properly trained. Nice looking room in a historic location. Too bad the ball has been dropped in so many areas. When you go into a bathroom and there's an empty toilet paper roll and a nearly gone one sitting on the back of the toilet it sends a message - more like a frat house than a nice restaurant. Won't be back.

Great Italian restaurant. The food is top notch in this place. The sandwiches at lunch are great and there are always a couple of specials. Dinner is fantastic. Nice menu, good drinks, the sorbet in between is an amazing touch. They also do an amazing job at private parties. I have attended several and everything was perfect. Can't go wrong here.
