“Cute little ice cream store in downtown Hastings-on-Hudson. Visited on July 4th just before closing. I tried the lavender truffle and the BF tried the dark chocolate coconut (vegan) - both very good. There were a few tables in a back room to sit at, a table and window benches up front and a couple of benches outside. The service was not great, but it was the end of a holiday day and I'm sure they were trying to get out of there to try to enjoy the rest of the evening.“

“Been coming here since I was a small child. At one point it was a weekly occurrence without question that my family was getting Carvel. Haven't gone for years after I moved away and my diet changed but now that I'm back in the area and they gave vegan friendly options is a done deal. I find myself swinging by on occasion, even if by myself, and/or order from Uber Eats to deliver to me while coming home from a long week at work.

Vegetarian options: All ice cream is or SHOULD be vegetarian, but now they have Oatly based vegan ice creams that are amazing. I've been dreaming of pistachio ice cream that was vegan friendly for decades because pistachio was a go-to as a child and now they have it

“Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery is a delightful spot for satisfying your sweet tooth cravings! I recently visited and was impressed by the variety of cupcake flavors available. While I initially planned to try their homemade ice cream, I was a bit put off by its appearance, as it was melting despite the moderate weather. However, the cupcakes more than made up for it! I indulged in the 420 deep-fried Oreo specialty cupcake and a classic red velvet, both of which were delicious. Although I found the cupcakes a tad less moist than I prefer, the frosting was just right - not overly sweet. The ambiance inside the bakery was cozy, and I noticed they host events, which adds to the appeal. Overall, Smallcakes offers a tasty treat experience, and I look forward to returning to explore more of their cupcake flavors and, hopefully, give their ice cream a try!“
