“The prices are super cheap. Bartenders are always friendly they have a jukebox and vending machine and sometimes they cater food. The game nights (connect4, cards, chess, checkers, dominoes and video games) are absolutely fun. Brother Rob always makes sure everyone has a good time!“
“amazing experience if you ever go there ask for the server terrel. hes very funny and a nice humble gentleman. i swear out of 35 years of my life this might be the best server i ever had. the food was amazing i got the salmon and it was cooked perfect and so tasty“
“Placed a large take-out order with Flora on 2/25/24. Items were packed neatly and some sides were packed separately, as requested. The standouts are definitely the Shepard's pie and pot roast. The order was ready on arrival, even with the bar being so busy on Sunday. Unfortunately, they no longer serve scones in their breadbasket. I hope they bring these back. Great food and great people.“
“Nice customers service ok.Cook didn't want to to broil top of my sole alittle.cant ask for anything these days not like the old days..you take what's given ? its every whereFood was good and also last time I was there. I've been in this place from when they first opened. It's good it's still there. Ty“
“Where to start? Shines is hands down the best bar in the West End! Staff is great; always available for a conversation a laugh and a good time. The reason for me writing this post is to appreciate the level of care and concern for safety of all patrons that the staff has. I won't write out the entire thing, but on one occasion I was being followed/had someone not leave me alone. Mike, Tom and (another) Mike made sure that the guest left and kept me safe while he was leaving. They made sure that the unruly guest didn't see me leave or follow me, and got him to leave me alone while I was at the bar. Its great to see a group of people that put the safety of their guests at the forefront of their business even if it is a busy Sunday Night. Also, drinks are on point, and while they don't serve food, they are always open to you ordering/eating outside food at the bar while you have a drink!“
“Great food especially for a bar. Nice people. Community oriented. Its like "Cheers" except in Queens. These men and women have been around a while and it is like one big family. For the love of Ireland "Sl`ainte!!!!Vegetarian options: You can ask and they are willing to try and accomodate you as much as possible.Kid-friendliness: Considering it is a bar/rest I would reccomend taking kids during the lunch hour through late afternoon.Dietary restrictions: You can ask and they are willing to accomodate you as best they can.“
“Simply amazing! Can't imagine how they do it, but the service was AMAZING!! Somehow I walked in and got a table on the 2nd busiest day of the year for an Irish Pub for 6 people and there was no wait! Except look at my picture the place was packed standing room only!! Just Amazing!Kid-friendliness: Kids are more welcome than adults!! lol they had all the accommodations for them!“
“I got the Shepards pie to go and it was delicious. It was a good portion size with a lot of flavor. They gave me an Irish soda bread roll as well which hit the spot. The staff I spoke with were very friendly and the decor was charming. I'm definitely going to come back and dine in.“
“This place has great food and service and has undergone some renovation recently, which gives the place a nice fresh look. You can't tell that the bar has been open for 65years as it barely looks a day over 30. They had good live music when we were there and I was also thrilled that they had quick draw lottery to play as I enjoyed the food. A definite gem of a pub. If I lived closer,I would likely frequent this establishment.Parking: There's street parking for free that is limited and a parking lot with meters very close where it's .25 cents per 30 minutes with FREE parking on Sundays and holidaysWheelchair accessibility: Our group had someone in a wheelchair which there was no problem to get in and out. She was able to sit comfortably.“
