This place is not what it was when it first opened. I understand inflation but their prices are through the damn roof. Half the restaurant is closed. The decore was nice until they decided to allow customers to draw all over it. Half of the items on the menu where not available when we where there. The wife ordered a truly and they gave her a 24oz, that's a large can if you don't know. That was okay until I realized they charged $6.99 for it. They can be purchased for $3.50 at the Dandy lol. My crab legs where $32.99, I don't think that was a bad price for a pound. All and all our total was $60.99. I don't see that as being a bad price for sea food. The environment just doesn't support that price. Staff wasn't the best, the tables where sticky , and the food was okay just not $60 worth. 3 Star's.
We'd been to one of these restaurants in KY and loved it. They were out of crab legs and lobster. A woman was literally laying across a bench of a booth. They do not offer iced tea. Dirty. After all this, we decided to leave. Went to another restaurant close by and shared our experience while waiting for a table. A lady said to be thankful that we didn't eat there as she had and it was horrible.
Went out to lunch with my dad and was looking forward to some seafood and I was so disappointed! The menu items for entrees were around $75 a plate…and if you were looking for something for lunch you could eat a host of fried foods for around $15-$20 but nothing healthy. The restaurant decor looks like it was put together by a group of community college frat boys and the place was filthy.Never again.
Was very disappointed with the whole storming crab experience. I was looking forward to some good seafood after looking at the menu online and tiramisu. When we arrived on a Sunday lunchtime the place was empty only one other couple there. The waitress didn’t know anything about the food. The soft shell crab was overpowered by the breading could not taste any meat. The gator meat was the same. Then the desert was the worst. Was looking forward to a nice creamy tiramisu that was shown on the online menu. What we got was a dried up cupcake with Imitation filling and whip topping on top and a crazy amount of chocolate syrup. And the cost was just shameful . Way over priced. Would not go there again or recommend it.
I've been dying for some New Orleans food for quite some time now and this the closest you'll get to it in this area.Arrived on a Friday night at 9pm. I would say this place was dead but Binghamton, Vestal, and Johnson City areas of NY is dead in general.... So I'll call it a slow night. Just a few patrons and I.I was sat immediately and given a menu with a complimentary cheesy seafood bread. I ordered a blue moon which came quickly. The employees were very friendly and quick.I originally came for a seafood broil but decided that was too much since I was hitting bars later on the night so settled for fried gator meat and gumbo soup. The server came back with my hot, fresh meal in less than 10 minutes. The food was very good. The 1 star reviews for this place had to be from some miserable chaps because the food is greatly superior to Long John Silver's. They don't skimp on the meals here at all. Also I did not find the graffiti decor distracting or tacky like past reviewers either. If you ever been to Joe's Crab Shack or Dick's Last Resort, it doesn't look much different from those places.I imagine at one point, this place spent so much money and time cleaning up the graffiti to keep it looking clean, they decided to let customers draw on the walls as one of restaurant's attractions.Anyway, I enjoyed my meal and I'll be back.
Decent boil restaurant, they need more dedicated staff. Our server was good but overwhelmed. We do love the scallops and crab legs in garlic butter.
While the cost of a meal at the Storming Crab isn’t something cheap, I was blown away by the actual quality of not only the boil, but the boil sauce and the freshness of the seafood as well.Truly a gem in the Vestal area that will serve as an excellent dining treat on special occasions.
The seafood here was friggin awesome. U got the scallops and clam boil, half a dozen shucked oysters, and my wife got the crawfish etoufee and we were both very happy. Service was very fast and our waitress/bartender was simply awesome. Will cost you more here per person than other restaurants, but for very tasty seafood I say it's worth the price.
Pretty expensive, so went with appetizers and drinks. Friendly staff, sub par drinks. Complimentary seafood bread was the highlight.
Very nice waitress and staff was very kind. Probably a good place to hit up for drinks. To keep this review honest the food was not great. Was in the bathroom with a stomach ache for the rest of the night. Prices are high for the fish too- $30 for 2 small crabs served in a plastic bag. The smell was not appetizing and the fried catfish tasted muddy. Appetizers were moderately priced, a little high for what you get.The seafood bread was okay.

Bring your own crab forks! The wait staff was nice and attentive, and we tipped accordingly. The crab… was tough and stuck to the shell. I ate more shell than crab, and I’m no newbie to crab boils.I do not recommend this place (except for the seafood bread.)
Delicious food at a good price. I’ve tried a few seafood boil places. Even compared some places I’ve been to in NYC, this is much better. Ordered the snow crab and shrimp with some scallops. Delicious! And very nice service too.
Our first visit to Storming crab at 3PM was great. The waitress went out of her way to accommodate our time restraints. The atmosphere was a pleasant surprise. Our breaded shrimp was delicious. The pricing was very reasonable. I will definitely go out of my way to stop again.
One star for the food. I think the waitress need more training. She is really unprofessional. I been here with my family. After I went home and check my bill. Then realized they already add the gratuity on my bill and the Asian girl didn’t said anything after I add the extra tips on the receipt. So I been charged twice for the tips. Maybe that’s the way how they make money. Be aware guys.
Great experience. Service was great ?thank you Ashley! Our table had 2 different seafood bags. Seriously good flavor. Good drinks. Cant complain
