Union House Inn is definitely a local favorite! The food is delicious, the drinks are always cold, and the cocktails are made perfectly every time. The new owners are absolutely wonderful warm, welcoming, and truly invested in supporting the community.
The bartenders are amazing and always on point, making sure you’re taken care of from the moment you walk in. There’s always something fun happening too great music, cornhole, a pool table, and darts. Whether you’re going with a group of friends or just looking for a relaxing night out, it’s always a good time.

The Union House Inn on Merchant Circle exudes the essence of a quintessential local bar, offering an authentic glimpse into the community spirit of its surroundings. However, my experience fell short of expectations, warranting a 2-star rating.
Upon entering, I was immediately met with a discordant atmosphere, tainted by the overpowering scent of cigarettes. The dim lighting further obscured the ambiance, casting shadows that seemed to obscure rather than enhance the space's appeal.
While the bartender's enthusiasm was evident, I couldn't shake the feeling of being pressured to make a decision. Despite expressing my need for a moment to decide, I felt persistently pursued, creating a sense of discomfort and unease.
Though the bartender's intentions may have been well-meaning, the inability to discern social cues detracted from the overall experience. Despite his kindness, the overwhelming pressure to purchase a drink before I had even decided to stay or go left me feeling unwelcome and uneasy.
In the end, I opted to leave without making a purchase, as the environment did not foster a sense of safety or belonging. While the bartender's demeanor was polite, the lack of attentiveness to my expressed need for space ultimately soured the experience.
In summary, the Union House Inn on Merchant Circle, while undoubtedly a local staple, failed to deliver a welcoming atmosphere and left much to be desired in terms of customer experience.
