Seriously fantastic meal. The flavors, the atmosphere, the people. A delicious family-run restaurant with no sports on the TV, just a voiceless woodsy Sri Lankan cooking video playing as we sat under lovely faux-incadecent lighting. Delightful & delicious.
Red Pepper Diner is my favorite restaurant in the Beacon area. Tonight we had the fish cutlet as appetizers and beef curry that came with rice, Dahl and sautéd picked eggplant. We ordered hoppers on the side that were both crispy and soft with the aroma and taste of fresh coconut. For dessert I had the Watalappan which was made from coconut milk, warming spices like cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves and sweetened with palm sugar.
