“I LOVE Levain Bakeries. I've been to a few in NYC, and happened to see the one near East Hampton on the way to Montauk. Had to do a double take, since I wasn't expecting to see one out this way. The cookies were fantastic (as always). Tried to go back with more friends another time, but they closed so early (3 pm). We'll try again another time!“

The aroma when you enter surrounds you and creates an initial frenzy...what to eat, what to eat. And when you see their offerings, you need restraint as everything is deliciously decadent. Folks do line up to get their cinnamon buns. These are light and airy dripping in icing. Their donuts and croissants are amazing. They bake an excellent variety of bread and pretzels, and these are so flavorful. Cakes, cookies, and cupcakes abound. Take your pick-they will each be delicious. If you don't see your favorite do ask as you just maybe minutes away from the next tray coming out of the oven. And right by the door are treats to feed the ducks at nearby Lake Agawam, the perfect spot to sit and enjoy your goodies from Ye Olde Bake Shoppe.“
