This is one of our favorite wineries/vineyards that we visited on our trip. We enjoyed our tasting out under the heated deck with a great view of the lake. Our server was attentive and informative in suggesting wines we might like and adding a few extra samples. We also enjoyed walking the grounds through the vineyard with a glass of wine.
What a great find! We decided to leave northeast Ohio and head to the NY Finger Lakes region for a long weekend with the intent of exploring wineries. Lakewood Vineyards did not disappoint!This is a beautiful winery we found to be so enjoyable to explore. Purchased a couple of bottles of Long Stem Red. Paired it with a pasta in vodka sauce with crumbled sausage. In a word, amazing. Fruit forward that lasts through the finish. The bottle describes it as "jammy." I would have to agree. A very enjoyable wine. Looking forward to the second bottle when the time is right.
