I go to the location on Mahan street at least once a week on my lunch break. I love that they are baked and NOT deep fried and greasy. The dipping sauces are free, and it’s definitely less expensive to go in person than it is to order online. Overall though, this is a hidden gem. The food is so delicious. Nelly’s new storefront in Glen Cove is great. We were a regular customers of hers at the Deep Roots Farmers Market and got some empanadas at the store last week.The store looks great and the empanadas are even more delicious freshly eaten out of the oven. The egg-based empanadas are perfect for breakfast and are probably my personal favorites. My older son loves the beef and potato and we are also big fans of the chicken fiesta and cheeseburger empanadas. Highly recommend.
