Hadn't been here for years (because we moved out of state) and it's just as good as it ever was. The fish was exceptional, both the miso glazed Islandic cod with bok choy and the sea bass.

Outstanding service and lunch. The gazpacho was incredibly delicious and refreshing. My colleague ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich and I had the fish and chips. Both fantastic. The fish was tender and tasty. Service was fast as my guest had to leave early. Love the re modeled restaurant.

Went to a party there. Felt bad that we had one waitress who had little help, but was really amazing regardless! The food was great! Can’t believe I have never been here! Definitely will be back. Have to try that Bloody Mary!

When my bf asked if I wanted to go to this pub on st patrick’s day weekend for brunch this was not what I expected. This place is beautiful inside! They had specific st patrick’s day specials that we were interested in. We tried to order the Corned Beef Reuben Spring Rolls but they were out of them. A bummer, and he suggested a few other options for appetizers that I couldn’t fully hear and also couldn’t find anywhere on the menu so maybe we somehow didn’t see the whole menu?? My bf got the Ruben sandwich and I got the chicken schnitzel sandwich. Both with fries and both were delicious! I also got the peach tea cocktail which I didn’t like. My bf got the black and tan and enjoyed it. The server was friendly enough. He didn’t really come around much which was fine, but the food took 30 mins to come out. So I didn’t love that. We were watching the food other people ordered come out and they had some very interesting things so I’d definitely want to come back to try the stuffed French toast specifically. I just won’t come too hungry!

I attended a reception after a team building exercise. Marie the server was very attentive and pleasant along with the owners Peter and David. Food was pre- ordered for us but I will say there pop corn shrimp, pizzas and pasta were incredible. Would definitely return. oh, and bartender is a great mixologist. I had a Mango revive cocktail. it was incredible.

Sam’s has been a mainstay in White Plains for over 70 years. We haven’t been there since before COVID. I just felt like a burger and my wife just wanted something light so I said let’s go to Sam’s. We walked in and the place is totally rearranged and it’s really nice. Our server was a wonderful young lady with a great personality. My wife ordered gazpacho which she really enjoyed then brussel sprouts which she said were fantastic. I ordered the watermelon and feta salad which was delicious then had the steak sandwich which was excellent. I didn’t have the usual Samburger which I know is great. Prices are fair. The meal was very enjoyable.

Went to dinner at Sam's with two other couples and had a totally delicious dinner and wonderful time. Our server, Marie, was cordial and attentive and knew just when to be at our table, which was outdoors in a quiet corner of the patio. Amazing drinks from the bar -- I had the best Manhattan I've ever had, topped with 2 luxardo cherries. The food was top notch, with beautifully plated generous portions. Great food, great drinks, great ambiance. We will be back soon!

What a truly great evening spent last night at Sam's of Gendey Way. The new menu created and presented by Chef Rob was outstanding ... from the presentation to the taste. There were 5 of us ... we are all in the food industry so needless to say we are not easy to please and often the most critical. We didn't find one thing that wasn't amazing. Creative but substantial and left us wanting more. The owner couldn't have been more gracious and you can see why his businesses are successful. He and his team (including Marie!) define the word "hospitality"... we felt like we were at home. Great food and great place for a weekday night out, group of friends or to celebrate a special occasion. Thanks for a break from the daily craziness!

With Covid waning, our Toastmasters Club, Hudson River Toastmasters, celebrated our 30th anniversary at Sam's. Our event went off very well. Everyone enjoyed the event. The hospitality by May was courteous. She was very inconspicuous in serving the guests without any disruptions. I'm sure it was a challenge for the staff while under renovations; however, the event was handled with utmost professionalism. Thanks to Karen and Nick for hosting our anniversary celebration.

We had Plans. And...the universe laughed. So, on a Christmas Eve date, my husband and I ended up here for a late lunch. It was just right. The people were amazing The food was amazing And the Christmas carols were by Sinatra. Merry Christmas White Plains Come here and celebrate all that is dear to you.

The food was decent but the service was even better. Very warm and friendly staff. Ron made you feel like you were the only customer even though the restaurant was packed. The pecan crusted chicken with sweet potato purée was delish! And definitely get the Brussels sprouts appetizer.

Sam's is consistantly terrific! My guests and I are no longer young, and we were offered 2 tables, 1 in the private area near the host and 1 in the larger restaurant area. It was done so graciously; we chose the quieter room so we could hear one another! The food was terrific, as always and the wait staff, knowlegable and accommodative. And, of course, having the rear parking makes it the perfect place to go.

Surprisingly, the place was empty for Sunday brunch. The waffle was soggy and not great. The eggs Benedict were fair; hollandaise sauce was sparse and thin, and the eggs were barely warm. Brunch prices are not cheap, but it does come with a bloody mary or mimosa, so not as bad if you would order one.

A bit pricey for what you get. Sam's is effectively an upscaled diner, with good food, a broad menu, and an attractive facility. But, given the price points, it isn't that impressive.

Service was excellent as always. We were disappointed that only arugula lettuce was available for the salads, no iceberg as requested. Many dishes had a number of spices and ingredients that needed replacement or elimination and while we were accommodated some of the changes to specific items created the need to order a different item. Ordering became a needless struggle.
