Big Apple Diner is a hidden gem for those on the road, offering good food at inexpensive prices with quick and friendly service. The BLT sandwich is a must-try, perfectly balanced with mayo on toast. The restaurant is kid-friendly, with attentive servers and delicious sweet tea made in-house. With an extensive pie selection and famous baked goods, this diner is popular among locals and travelers alike.
The quaint little diner has a large parking lot, perfect for truckers stopping by. Though a bit dated, the homemade food and friendly people more than make up for it. Portions are generous, leaving little room for dessert, but the baked goods smell and look amazing. The chocolate cream pie was amazing and will be hard to beat. The Irish Benedict is interesting and different, and the home fries are just right. They have tea choices and will actually refill your hot tea. Early is good as it picks up around 9 am.
Run by hardworking, friendly staff, this roadside diner never disappoints. It’s a must-stop for anyone driving through, with real good homemade food and a neat atmosphere. Don’t forget to save room for their baked goods—and maybe snap a pic with Sasquatch
