Ben's Kosher Delicatessen Restaurant & Caterers

The food was fine but the bathroom was in rough shape. Dirty, broken doors, no toilet paper. It was on par with a gas station or bad rest stop rather than a restaurant. It made me nervous about the cleanliness of the kitchen.

believe the reviews. food downhill and customer service is atrocious. i am incensed at my take order tonight and responses and lies i got in person and on phone. disputing transaction and NEVER going back.

As I mostly ordered over the phone or online I was not in the restaurant itself.As far as the food goes if someone is looking for real Heimeshe. Yiddish food this is not the place. Geshmak does not mean dripping and soaked in oil.As far as the service goes more than once my delivery never came the way I requested,after calling them and requesting alterations or just wanting a burger bun instead of rye bread
And last but not least,ny favourite-when once ordering in the phone with one of the waitresses I was told how much of a tip to give when I had given already a different amount.I found this to be unbelievable Chutzpah . Seriously there are better and definitely more hospitable places

Enjoyed dinner at Ben's one Sunday. Seating was available when we arrived. Food was very good and portions were large. We took home the leftovers. Only complaint was that service was a little slow.

Always a treat to go to Ben's. The portions are generous and I have enough leftovers for many meals. The food is delicious and the service is great. Highly recommended

Ben’s kosher restaurant is one of the best if not the best spot in the area. The steak was juicy and flavorful. The fries were perfectly seasoned and mouth-watering. And there is free coleslaw and pickles that come with each table. The waiters are so nice, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Definitely come to this place.

Worst of all locations

I went to the Ben's Deli in Carl Place for Thanksgiving dinner and I will never go back there again. The portion they gave me was ridiculous. I had to send my meal back because I hardly got any mash potatoe and the food was ice cold. The waitress made a face at me because I had to send my food back twice meanwhile she was serving other people who got better portions of food than me. I told the manager about that because the waitress told me they way the portions they give you. After we finished our meal I asked the manager if I could have a little coleslaw because I had some leftover I planned to eat the next day and he wouldn't give it to me without charging me for a portion which I didn't want. I asked my husband how much they charged us for the Thanksgiving dinner and he told me $74 plus tax which came to $80 and I could not believe it. I will never go to the Ben's in Carl Place again. They are disgustingly cheap. They told me bread comes with the meal but if I hadn't asked for it I would not have gotten it. I go to the Ben's in Boca Raton, Florida and it is much better.

The pickles, coleslaw, matzo ball soup and cabbage roll were good. The soup had one large matzo ball and noodles. There was a lot of meat on both sandwiches; the roast beef was good, the pastrami was excellent but not hot.

Surprisingly, they were nice to me when I walked in today, but just for now on when I buy something from you guys I’m gonna start checking my bag before I leave the parking lot because we asked for extra noodles in our soup and it look like a regular serving of noodles into the chicken noodle soup Also, I ordered a knish from you guys and it was warm almost cold so I will be checking my bag before leaving the store. Next time I buy something because things are too expensive to be leaving unhappy other than that everything else was good.
