Yearning and pining for it to reopen. This place made people who said New York doesn't have good Mexican food look utterly foolish. Everything was superlatively good, from the first bites of guacamole (they kept a battery of seasoned molcajetes to serve it in) to the last whiffs of strikingly bittersweet flan. But the tacos (especially the cochinita) were show-stopping. I'd sell a kidney to Gofundme this place back to life.
a true hidden gem. only open on sundays. closes around 8, maybe. worth the hassle. incredible, incredible food. follow them on instagram.
