I have been dining at La Flor since they first opened a while ago. Chef Viko is very creative and does a regular menu plus seasonal specials. He uses farmer’s market ingredients and is very generous with the portions. Expect to see very colorful and tasty combinations. The core of the menu here is Mexican food with French and Italian notes. The home made pastries and desserts are a solid plus to the dining experience. The wine list has Ben carefully selected and the moderate prices don’t sacrifice the quality. In all, La Flor is one of my favorites in New York City.Vegetarian options: Salads, seasonal veggies.Dietary restrictions: The chef is very knowledgeable and kind and is willing to accommodate special requests.Kid-friendliness: Family place and everyone is welcome.

I love this place and have been many times. Just finally getting around to writing a review. Great selection of US and Mexican and fusion dishes for all hours, but I love the breakfasts and brunches best!

Great food and great service. Always welcoming, fresh ingredients. This is a neighborhood gem.For the less than 5-star reviews…keep in mind how this can hurt a business. This family owned business doesn’t deserve anything less than 5-stars.

My wife and I finally tried this place after 10 years of passing it by when driving from central Queens (Rego Park) to Astoria, Jackson Heights, Sunnyside, Woodside and LIC. That night we ordered appetizers, including my wife's soup of the day, which was a delicious pea soup. My starter was the chicken flautas that come dressed with red and green salsas and crema to illustrate the Mexican flag. The flautas were hot and crispy right out of the fryer, filled with chicken and mashed potatoes. This dish was perfect. My wife's entree was the carne asada torta which she said was delicious. She simply wanted something mild since she doesn't tolerate spicy food well, and also with the help of the friendly waitress she had navigated a number of allergens. The sandwich came with a side of greens. I chose the nuclear option: the molcajete with hangar steak, fresh corn, nopales (cactus), grilled jalapeño and mashed potatoes. The entire spectacle was delicious and beautifully presented in a stone molcajete. We would definitely try this place again which was only overlooked since we have lots of choices of authentic Mexican food.

Place was easy to get to via public transportation. Went on a Saturday early evening and got seated right away. I had a salad with cactus and veggies tacos. Both were absolutely delicious. Great service. Decor was lovely. Price reasonable.

Good food, reasonable prices. The way things should be. Stopped by for brunch with a friend as it was close to our Airbnb and I liked it a lot. Very cozy and homey spot. I got the steak and eggs, and everything was seasoned nicely, and I left feeling satisfied. The food isn't too heavy/greasy which was nice. The service was good. Not much else to say lol

Excellent brunch. Lived in the neighborhood a few years and sorry to say I've never come here. I'll definitely be coming back. White sangria was delicious along with my vanilla bourbon french toast. Service was great, even gave us a free dessert. Restaurant ambiance was great, music and decor. Highly recommend.

I been a customer for so many years on this place just this time it will be last time I come to this place I order a steak medium rare and the green sauce want was on top was so spicy and I have problems on the stomach and it didn’t say it was spicy it’s just said avocado sauce and once I told the waiter the chefs gets mad and gives a attitude and he just cleans my steak with water and cooks it and give it back to me like once I taste it had no flavor it was horrible so sorry la flor but you have lost a customer for 8 years this is just a disappointing experience I ever had
