One of my go to bars to pregame or just hangout. Theres hundreds of board games and card games available. All fairly new. The drinks are affordable. They have events throughout the seasons like pumpkin carving and such which are usually free. Theres pinball machines in the back super fun. They play really good music even kpop. And the owner is super cool and inviting.

My friends and I reserved a table for our Friendsgiving last Friday (on their site it states that it’s acceptable to bring outside food and I also confirmed this with one of their employees on the phone). We weren’t there that long before we were rudely rushed to buy drinks by the bar tender. Mind you besides two other people, my group and I (a total of 8 of us) were the only ones there. Later during the night we were approached with hostility by an employee (who wears a cowboy hat) who threatened to kick us out because we ONLY purchased 3 drinks as a group and because he saw that we brought in a soft drink (that wasn’t purchased at the bar). He also rudely said that this is not a community center. (This felt like a micro-aggression because my group and I are all people of color). First, to dismiss the 3 drinks that we paid for is rude. Second, to threaten to kick us out when the bar wasn’t even crowded and the night was just getting started is poor business and unprofessional customer service. Lastly, be clear and update your bar’s policy on your website about large parties and bringing outside food and beverages to the establishment. Don’t bring your attitude over here. Overall, my group and I were extremely disgusted by the customer service. We were getting glares all night from the staff and felt extremely uncomfortable. There is a way to talk to people especially YOUR CUSTOMERS, if you disagree on something or are trying to get your point across. Solid State lost out on some extra business that night. We were planning on purchasing some more drinks that night but because of the disrespectful service that soured our evening and made us feel extremely uncomfortable, we left early.

Such a great spot to chill! My friends and I decided to come after having dinner in the area and I'm so glad we discovered it cause it's a solid bar. Full bar, plenty of seating inside, lots of games from pinball machine to board games. Great for hanging out with friends.

I've been coming here for over a year now, it's such a convenient location and perfect for groups but it deserves the hype I see others reviewing it. Can't deny, I love the vibes, the ambience is so chill and sometimes they have live music and quiz nights. Food wise: My friend Steven told me you can order and eat here which I've seen, but I have ordered ramen from the bar before, soooo good lol. Service wise: The bartenders are all so sweet/attentive.

Arguably one of the best beer bars in NYC. They have twenty drafts - all being local, craft options. Some of the most intriguing offerings were from Transmitter, Finback, and Destination Unknown. Bar has lots to do. They have a huge selection of board games. There are several pinball machines in the back. Simply a great place you can hang out.I liked the set up of the bar too. First third is a traditional counter where folks chat up with the bartender. Second third,is great for groups and lounging around. Final third has the pinball machines.
The beer selection is amazing. The music, on the other hand, is not. Was there for about an hour, and it was mostly K-pop. One or two tracks, okay, but for that long, c'mon. I left because I couldn't take it anymore. The beer selection is still amazing though.
