My wife and I enjoy this place whenever we find ourselves in Woodstock ny . This place has a trendy crowd and a mix of young and old. The talent here is amazing and the bar is always full. I played pool here with friends in the cozy room upstairs where you can also watch the talent perform from the balcony. The kitchen is open for a light lunch to help with the wonderful selection of drinks đ¸

We hosted our wedding here last weekend and had an incredible experience working with Laura Anson! We had been planning our wedding for about 2 years, and she was extremely helpful every step of the way, especially since we are currently not local to the area. From helping us give tours to our officiant, to making sure we had our favorite cider that evening, she was our favorite part of hosting our wedding at Colony. The space itself is so unique, and our guests had an amazing time! Several of them remarked that it was the most fun wedding they've ever been to. Very easy for the DJ to set up, and the food was delicious. All the staff was extremely helpful and flexible throughout the evening too. Definitely would recommend to any future couples!

BEST AFTER PARTY EVER! When we decided to get married in Woodstock, we knew there was no better place to host the ultimate after party than at the historic Colony Woodstock... and it absolutely lived up to the hype!
From the moment we reached out, Laura was incredible to work with. She was so patient and understanding as we finalized details, held the space for us without pressure, and guided us through every step with compassion and professionalism. Once we decided to move forward, the planning process was seamless - exactly what you need when youâre juggling a big wedding!
The entire team at Colony was collaborative and flexible, especially as our guest list grew from a modest 30 to over 50 people. From the most delicious late-night bites to perfectly coordinating with our DJ, everything came together effortlessly. The space created the perfect after party vibe, intimate yet larger than life.
I truly canât thank Laura and the Colony team enough for helping us celebrate one of the best nights of our lives in such an iconic, magical way!

We worked with Laura for my wedding, and overall it went smoothly. She was very prompt in responding to messages, which we appreciated, especially during the busier planning stages. Communication wasnât always the clearest at times, but she was quick to get back to us and made sure things were handled on schedule. The event itself turned out great, and weâre grateful for her effort and responsiveness throughout the process.
Also the day of staff were also great. Justin and Michael the GMâs were always checking in. Also, the bartenders dressed like the old west just like we asked. Also, the venue is just beautiful. đ

This review is specifically in regard to Colony as a wedding venue. We just held our October 2025 wedding in this beautiful space, and the party we threw came off better than weâd ever anticipated. My cheeks hurt the next day from smiling.
Colony was the first and only venue we looked at. It is such a warm, welcoming and elegant space - vintage and cozy. Nothing about throwing a wedding here, from planning to last call, felt like an assembly line cookie cutter Marriott ballroom type affair. They will pretty much let you shape your event however you want.
Laura especially was a pleasure to work with throughout - extremely accommodating to all of our questions and various site visits leading up to the day. The rest of the staff was also fantastic. As the bride, I felt like the whole night just went off without a hitch without my being aware of any of the million little things that went on behind the scenes. Pretty ideal.
If youâre like us, and not even sure about having a wedding, and rue of the choice between ârustic barnâ and âfrigid hotel ballroom with purple uplighting,â give this cozy little inn a look. â¤ď¸

Love the building. First time there and it was for burlesque show.. It didn't disappoint. Two thumbs up. We didn't know there's a good restaurant attached. We ate locally elsewhere before the show. That was a $$$ gaf - should've looked harder.. See you next time for a fuller experience..
