Okinawa Chinese And Japanese Restaurant

Finding a good Chinese restaurant in the Albany area the cooks without MSG also is very difficult. We're spoiled coming from Queens, NY. Okinawa cooks without MSG, has a very nice atmosphere, plenty of parking and good food and service. And they deliver!

Good food great people.
The Gen Tso was a little mild for me. It's still our goto place.

Quality has deteriorated-not the same as it once was ….and on top of the they charge you a Convenience Fee to order online from the restaurant’ own site-Taste was not great and you can taste that the oil was old. Overly price and low quality.

My wife and I must not be their target audience as both dishes were really light on flavor - like what you might serve a geriatric with extreme dietary limitations.

Not sweet, not spicy, not savory.

All edible and no complaints on portions but disappointingly boring.

Hadn't ordered from here in years and now I remember why. The batter to chicken ratio on the sweet and sour chicken was like 90% batter 10% meat. And it was mushy like a pancake batter. Egg rolls are small and filling to wrapper ratio is about the same as the chicken. Fried rice was ok but there was no egg in it. Seems as though places are deciding that egg isn't a main ingredient in fried rice anymore. My pepsi was cold though so there something I guess. Never again

Order ready in 10 minutes. Honey walnut shrimp came with the sauce on the side. Never had that before but I like it.

Did takeout at Okinawa restaurant yesterday. Had been there last year couple of times and thought the food was very good. Not sure what has happened but this is the second time this year that the food was pretty bad. Ordered General Tso chicken dinner and broccoli with chicken dinner.. Had one dinner with pork fried rice and the other with white rice. Had hot and sour soup, which was very bland and not very tasty. The rice for both meals was OK at best but General Tso’s chicken had no spice and very little sauce. Chicken was very chewy and obviously was over cooked as was the chicken for the other dinner. Best part of the meal was the fortune cookies 🥠 Most of it went in garbage 😡

My wife and I get sushi from Okinawa most weekends. I think it is the best around! Better than Unagi in Troy. The inside of the restaurant is a bit dated, but don't judge a book by its cover. Chinese food is good without making you feel gross.

Pretty disappointing takeout. Okinawa used to be our go to place but the quality has deteriorated. One of our selections was roast pork egg foo young, which wound up as a scrambled egg patty. If there was pork in it we missed it. we also ordered shrimp lo mein: tiny salad shrimp and noodles with a few random green onions. Chicken with garlic sauce was really nice with a great sauce, a lot of nice vegetables, and a good amount of chicken.

The past two wines I have ordered from Hill they have gone downhill. The first time my order was completely incorrect and this last time my sushi tasted like cigarettes. It had burnt marks on it and tasted AWFUL. I don't normally post reviews but my sushi roll was unfortunately so bad I will not be ordering from here again.

The food here was absolutely amazing!! The quality of their red tuna was the best I’ve had around! The only downfall is, there weren’t many people dining inside, and yet we still needed to wait quite a bit just to get our waitress’s attention to refill my water. Even with that downfall, the food was so great, I didn’t let it bother me.

Place was completely empty and the only person working up front was not only unfriendly but gave us terrible service. She didn't even respond to "thank you" basically grunting at us and walking away. No conversation when she brought food, no checking on us, nothing. There was literally no one else in the restaurant. Then the food was so bad, I didn't eat anything. My partner found it edible so he ate. Everything was soaked in grease and you could smell and taste that it was very old grease. The crab rangoons had no crab and greasy. The tempura vegetables in bento box, grease soaked and inedible. My partner didn't eat his either. Fried shrimp, gross and greasy. Pork Katsu...yep you guessed it, GREASY and hard. My California roll was clearly made ahead of time and left in the refrigerator. My partner said his was ok and his salmon was ok but that he would not go back. We didn't receive soup with our dinner boxes and the rice tasted bad. Even the salad greens were wilted. We will NEVER go back here. Terrible service and disgusting food. I would give negative stars if I could. So disappointed. Paid over 70.00 for inedible food. If my partner hadn't been starving and suffering from low blood sugar we would have walked out.

I’m so upset I’ve ordered from here before i and i really thought it was alright but today GOOD LORD! This food they sent smells rotten coming out the bag I’m dissatisfied and hungry… I don’t recommend anything sorry

I got recommended to try this gem out by my friend Mike. This restaurant was amazing the food was delicious and the staff was nice. They have a nice size menu and for the food that we got wasn't expensive at all. They have plenty of parking so come on over to give this place a shot. I highly recommend it
