“I know this place just opened, but I extremely highly recommend. A few of my friends came to eat here and so I decided to give it a try. Walking in, I was surprised how there was literally no one there but a ton of workers which I guess was great for me as they were super attentive. I was a bit surprised by the prices were pretty high for something that was supposed to be take-out, but the minute they start making the shawarma, I knew why it was more expensive. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma platter and it was delicious! Perhaps one of the best shawarmas I've had in the city. First of all, they gave us a platter just for all the toppings, did I mention that they are unlimited, that they had. Sometimes the toppings don't have that much flavor, but each one was very complex and flavorful. The chopped salad was light and fresh which balanced out the finely chopped pickles which added a sour taste. The red cabbage slaw which was slightly savory and slightly sour balanced out the onions that had a slight charred on it. I was so delighted by all the different toppings, which is where I think the place definitely shines. The chicken itself was okay, tender but not crazier than normal. Overall, I had an amazing experience and especially with the portion sizes, the platter could easily feed a family of 4 with additional leftovers. I think it will take me at least 6-7 meals before eating it all but I did add some of my own rice to counteract the bounty of flavors. I will say that they don't automatically give you the rice or the fries so big reminder to ask them for that when you come.“
“This is my absolute favorite restaurant in New Jersey. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in NJ“
“If you're craving authentic Mediterranean flavors in White Plains, look no further than Falafel Place! My recent lunch experience here was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that set the tone for a delightful meal.First off, let's talk about the falafel—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a true taste of tradition and craftsmanship. Alongside the falafel, I indulged in their hummus, which was creamy, rich, and paired perfectly with their fresh pita bread. But the star of the show was undoubtedly their signature dish, the Eggplant Shakshuka. This unique twist on a classic was an explosion of flavors, with sautéed tomatoes, green and red peppers, and perfectly roasted eggplant, all topped with poached eggs. It was a culinary masterpiece that left me craving more. What's more, the staff at Falafel Place were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every aspect of my dining experience was perfect. Whether you're a falafel fanatic or just looking to explore new flavors, I highly recommend paying a visit to Falafel Place in White Plains. You won't be disappointed!Dietary restrictions: Tons of gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian & vegan options!!Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs!“
“I've been looking for a place like this since moving to NYC. They're easy to find in London but a little harder in NYC dependent on the neighbourhood. I'm a huge fan of Middle Eastern, North African and South Asian food. The owner is very friendly, the food is authentic and flavourful, prices are excellent - I'll definitely be back again soon!Wheelchair accessibility: Door is adjacent to sidewalk.“
“Best shawarma & falafel in the city. Great overall experience. The owner was extremely kind and welcoming. My wife and I went in and placed our order and were treated with a free delicious falafel and some karak chai while we waited on our food. Food did not disappoint and will definitely be going back. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.“
“Since moving to the area, Nana's is one place that is consistently fantastic and everyone I bring here raves about it. Simple, yes, but freshly made, flavorful, and healthy isn't always easy to find when you're trying to grab a quick bite.I think the way the menu is laid out is a bit confusing if you've never been. Once you understand how to navigate that, it's smooth sailing. My regular order is the Mu'shwarma, pita or platter depending on how I feel that day. I am pescatarian and love that they don't use artificial fake meat, but this dish is just really well flavored mushrooms. Their platters are great because you can choose so many sides, and they REALLY stuff their pitas, so I think either one works, depending on what mood I'm in. If you get the platter, you can choose pita or pita chips on the side. Their pita chips are fresh and the best I've ever tasted. I'm not usually a drink gal, but I love their Limonana so I do order it quite frequently. Very refreshing and made with all fresh ingredients. Not overly sugary or anything. I've tried a bunch of their salads/salatim and they are all amazing, but the Babaganoush is a MUST. I'm not always a fan of the dish because of the texture but theirs is the best I've ever had. So flavorful and fantastic. Any of the spicy salads (spicy tomato) are actually quite spicy, so be aware. There isn't so much of an ambiance here as there's 1-2 tight tables and it's definitely more of a to go place, although I have dined in and eaten outside when weather permits. There is no table service. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but I can often stretch one of their meals to 2 and the ingredients are so fresh and so delicious, so it is worth the price. Don't expect any $7 street cart pitas here though! I've taken my parents and several friends and everyone that has been has only raved about how fresh and delicious it is, so it's a must go to and a neighborhood staple for me.“
“A great place! Falafel and everything else is absolutely scrumptious and the service is excellent. I go here now several time a week and I just love it. I was so sad when Jerusalem Restaurant closed, but now I grieve no more. Don't hesitate to patronize Zurna.“
“Wanted to get pizza but it’s tough to get stuff that’s been sitting out all day, the Turkish place next door is awesome, ate the lamb skewer on a pita with hot sauce and white sauce, the only issue is, the hot sauce wasn’t spicy enough for me but that’s a my problem, lol. Try this place, it’s definitely worth the it, enjoy.“
“Let me start off with that this spot is 24 hours and the vegan menu is pretty dope...something for everyone. They have a halal plate that is so filling and good, chop cheese and a crunch wrap that is unexpected as heck and now I am addicted and the cauliflower wings are tasty. My order has always come hot and portions are more than enough. Prices are good as well, happy I found this location.Vegetarian options: Smoothies are good and great pair with sandwiches“
“A convenience store and deli. It has a full menu of typical Middle Eastern. Oasis Deli And Grill is an unexpected find. Has good prices that are so cheap. There's not many places you can get food cheaper than you can here. I got the falafel sandwich for lunch. It's $5 and comes with lots of falafel pieces. The falafel is kind of crumbly but it's still good tasting. Much better than places where it's not fresh. The have choices of sauce. Hot sauce is really good on it. The falafel absorb it and gives the sandwich quite a spice. Hard to believe a convenience store has food this good and fresh. It can be hard to find it. This is past the big stairs on 187th Street.“
“Great option for some vegetarian mediterranean food.We tried the falafel sandwich and platter for takeout. The falafels tasted fresh and the salad within the sandwich was great. It did get slightly mushy on the ride home which was expected. It would probably be a straight 5/5 if you ate it right away, but 4.5 for delivery/take-out. The platter came with hummus+pita, but they had a special plate which came with salad which we would recommend as it felt like the base platter was missing greens. French fries were delicious. We will happily return.“
