Wonderful steak dinner for my husband's 57th birthday. Food was delicious. Our waiter was charming and very funny. Atmosphere was quiet and beautiful as we had dinner at 4 p.m. when the restaurant just opened. I recommend Hudson Valley Steakhouse to ALL.

Had dinner here with a good friend 2 weeks ago. The atmosphere and service were stellar. Our server was very welcoming and attentive, as was all of the wait staff. The maitre’d was also very friendly. The food, however, was not exactly top notch. When going to a high end steakhouse, as this is supposed to be, one would expect to get blown away by the food. Especially the steak. We started with 2 appetizers, oysters on half shell and the thick cut bacon. The oysters had an off, somewhat fishy taste to them and the bacon, although a quite large piece, was literally 80% fat. For the entree, we shared the dry aged porterhouse for 2. Our sides were creamed spinach, Hudson valley potatoes and sautéed asparagus. The steak was quite honestly, one of the blandest steaks I’ve ever had. Basically zero seasoning. It was cooked perfectly but, lacked everywhere else. The creamed spinach was delicious, far and away the best tasting part of the meal. The Hudson valley potatoes were ok. Basically thin steak fries mixed with onions and peppers, nothing too complicated. The asparagus was decent at best. We also got a bottle of wine, which was quite good however in a place like this you would expect high end wine to be stored properly. It was room temperature. At these prices, there should be a temperature controlled room (or wine fridge) to store wine.Overall, I’m not sure I could recommend this restaurant. Although, as I said, the atmosphere and wait staff were excellent, the food is what you come for and it was a big let down.

Notified them that it was my daughters 21st birthday in advance with our reservation for 4 adults for dinner on a Tuesday night. This was one of her favorite restaurants. Reminded them after we were seated - the waiter even joked about it. No happy birthday song, no desert or any type of special day treatment. To make things worse I had tremendous GI upset overnight and spent a good portion of the night ill. We were dissapointed overall.

Dinner was absolutely delicious! We went for a post-Valentine's Saturday night. We have been here before but not in a while. The place was packed but we were seated right away at a very nice table. We started with a lump crabmeat cocktail and Oysters Rockefeller then we each had a filet mignon. I had the petit 8oz and my husband had the 12 oz. They were cooked perfectly medium rare as we like it and the meat was so tender. The oysters were okay but the lump crab was so fresh and delicious and the cocktail sauce was extremely tasty. Also had one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had. It was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our whole dinner. Apparently they have a great happy hour too. We will definitely be back again very soon.

Owner Sergio who founded and owned Sparks Steakhouse in Manhattan brings his excellent meat cuts to us here in the Town of Cortlandt! Great selection of wines and cocktails and the complimentary home made grappa or anisette after dinner drink is the perfect way to finish your meal. Service is excellent with white linen cloth napkins and tablecloth . Silverware changed out with each course. Prompt responses if you wanted another drink or anything else. Sergio adds a class touch by stopping by each table to ensure your experience is top notch. Oh did I forget to mention NOT NYC prices! What a great room with cathedral ceilings and elegantly decorated dining room with space between tables so you can have an intimate experience but at the same time hear and see the energy in the room. Happy hour is one of the best ever!

We go to the Hudson Valley Steakhouse for big occasions (birthdays, Valentine's Day, Anniversaries) and have never been disappointed. Their steaks (our favorites are the filets mignons) are superb -- never had a better one anywhere, and I've lived for extended periods on five continents. The waiters are professional without being stuffy. The wine list meets our tastes perfectly, and the deserts are to die for! Try the onion rings instead of the potatoes. The spuds are great, but the onion rings are a perfect complement to steak, creamed spinich and a filet mignon.

We visit for all of our "special" occasions. The menu makes it very difficult to select ! The rib eye steak and crab cakes are absolutely wonderful as are all of the sides. Don't forget dessert the crème brûlée is spectacular. Waitstaff is attentive and engaging and the ambiance is wonderful!! Enjoy a great dining experience

The food was a bit pricey, but quite good. A recent visit was disappointing because of an arrogant server, who refused to look at us, asked the men first what they wanted, served the men first, never asked if we wanted anything else to drink when our initial drinks were empty, and expressed shock that I ordered a smaller steak of a lesser cut than the larger, "better" steak he recommended and served it with contempt.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent! Definitely a high end restaurant and one to visit on a special occasion. Best food, drinks, and dessert I've had in a long time! Beautiful restaurant, in a great location with plenty of parking too! The oysters were fabulous, the shrimp scampi was delicious, and my truffle chocolate cake was to die for!

The service is always impeccable!! I love eating at this restaurant. I started going there when the owners had a restaurant in Manhattan, Acapella, with my friend Jill. Awesome place!!

The food was excellent, service was right on, always either a waiter or other making sure our glasses were always full. The bar area was great, ample parking, overall exceeded my expectations
